#3 Naruto Uzumaki & Yamato [TEAM WORK]

Hey there, all! Still working on the article, trying to get some outside input added, but yeah, I was a bit harsh on yesterday's card. I just hope we won't get anything else with that style of effect again. But let's head onto the card at hand...

Our friend here is the most famous SR squad in the game, Naru/Yama! This was a card that along with Deep Forest Creation, really influenced the game in a more positive way, allowing a deck that based itself on specific users for jutsu becoming a lot more powerful. But let's head down to it's stats, shall we:

T5 HC0 Lightning/Earth
Leaf/Male/Genin/Anbu/Mental Power:2/Clone Status/Squad
5/4 8/4 CA: Wood/Oil
Set 14 Super Rare

There's a lot of key words for this card, with Leaf, Anbu, and Clone Status being pretty important. Just the name Naruto gives him the options to run any of the Naruto+Clone Status Jutsu, but you probably aren't running this ninja in a lightning deck. His combat and support are just great, as he starts off as a good supporter and ends as a good head ninja. Honestly, I like this guy a lot, but as with just about every other card on the list, he's not here because of his stats, he's here because of his effect. So let's check it out, shall we:

[TEAM WORK]

When this Ninja is put into play, you can search for up to 2 Permanent Mission cards with an "Earth" Symbol in your Deck and put them into play. Then, shuffle your deck.

Valid: Same Yamato text as always which matters less now since DFC is no longer in block.

This is a pretty game changing effect, as Earth is known for it's permanent missions, with good examples being BBQ, AFTBS, and Pressure. With this one card, you could pretty much set up a win condition, allowing you to swing through your opponent, as well as having the power of DFC to stop them even if they could block you. Overall, this card really showed what Earth was capable of and pushed them from a Tier 2 deck into the spotlight.

Overall, I really like this card, which seems to be a polarizing thing on this list, but it's because it gave support to something that really needed it. With the block, we've lost DFC and AFTBS, but Earth is still a strong deck type with this card still giving it a large push...although I will mention with Yamato [CONTROL BY FEAR], it's harder and harder to actually want to squad into this gem, especially when Naru/Hina is such a good option as well...

Limited: 2/5 Really, not your best pull to do anything with.
Constructed: 5/5 Has everything it needs here to shine.
Block: 3.5/5 Lost a lot of it's super support, so it's not as powerful as it could be.
Art: Naruto is vicious like a beast!/5

Stay tuned for tomorrow's card, one of the most expensive and rarest cards in the game, one that was thought to be too powerful for the game, and it still is worse than our #1 card!
