Beastly Mage

The Second Hokage

Welcome to another week of reviews. Today's card is a new version of The Second Hokage. As soon as this guy is deployed you can move UP TO three cards in your Chakra Area to your hand. That means you can recover something to use later (such as Jutsus). The second effect is great too (and valid). During your Mission Phase you can move one Water card from your Discard Pile to your Chakra Area. Simple Chakra Recovery is just great. Mastery also helps this guy out. In limited he could work, though being a late-turn Ninja with specific hand cost hurts him a bit there. In constructed, however, he's great. Try it and see!

08/23/10 N-822 The Second Hokage [Supremacy]
====================================

Today's card is my personal favorite T6 Water Ninja in the game right now for many reasons. He has the standard Second Hokage characteristics, with addition of Mastery, which drops his injured support to 3/1 instead of his usual 3/3, but Mastery is great with his effects. When he is put-in-play, you return up to three cards from your chakra area to your hand. This can return some jutsus or missions you used earlier in the game or cards you charged for hand cost. His second effect gives you an extra water chakra during the Mission phase; this can help you out paying for Mastery or playing jutsus in general.

Only downside is that he is T6, but the game is slowing down with rotation.

Limited: 2.5/5
Constructed: 4/5
