Beastly Mage

Sorry about the hiatus, Naruto Fans. I've had my hands full lately. LOL Enough about me, on to the card.

The effect of this card is interesting to say the least. It gives you an extra Power of State 2 mission card while on the field. Problem is that you need another Power of State 2 out. No problem if this one's out in play. When the effect is applied, and you have another PoS2 out, you can look for a State 2 Ninja in your deck, show it to your opponent, and place it in your hand. Pretty nice. Then, when you put in play a State 2 Ninja, you get to draw a card. Pretty sweet deal, particularly for water decks. Now, will State 2 become a new threat, as the name of this mission applies? Who knows, only time will tell...

Ratings:

Limited: 2/5 (if you manage to draft two of these AND a state 2)
Constructed: 3.5/5 (state 2 deck)
Art: Teenage Mutant Ninja Emo!/5

M-548 Threat of the State 2

Man, almost didn't get around to this card, but it's a pretty cool one that's helping out an old theme, so I really want'd to get my opinion out about this card. Hi, my name is N. Jolly and I apologize for the delay in N.'s End. I just haven't been getting in a lot of decks. Remember to send me your ideas and such and I'll try to get back to you!

Today we have yet another preview card for set 15, and this one is a cool theme card that helps out the old Sound 5 deck, Threat of the State 2. Let's check the stats and effect of this little beauty, shall we?

T2 HC1 Water
Permanent
Effect: When this card is put into play, the name of this card is considered to be "Power of State 2". When this Mission's effect is applied, if you have another in play "Power of State 2" Mission card, you can search your deck for 1 "State 2" Ninja card in your Deck, show it to your opponent and then place it in your hand. Then, shuffle your Deck. When you put a "State 2" Ninja into play, draw 1 card.

Wow, a stackable draw card that has a secondary effect if you already have one in play and drops the turn and hand cost of the best ninja in your deck? If the newer water Sasuke come out with State 2, I could see this coming roaring back in. As it is, it's still a great basis for a Kimi/S5 deck, especially with Kabuto around now to make sure you hit this card (or hit it more than once) in a match. It's cards like this that are great theme support for an under appreciated deck type. It really makes me want to search through my commons and try to dredge up the remains to build a decent S5 deck knowing that this is coming out.

Constructed: 4/5 Awesome support that I like a lot
Limited X/5 X=Number of playable S5 in the set or X=>5 if there's a good S2 Sasuke this set
Art: I really like the art for this card, so I'm not going to mention how much I hate Sasuke or his stupid hand wings, which are stupid/5
Master Wang Threat of the State 2

Another day, another card and AWWWWW YEAH!!! Another exclusive preview for Pojo!

Wow! Just...Wow! When Sound 4 looks like it's wiped off the Earth, another card pops up to make us all consider it once more. A tutor and draw power at once for Sound 4?! Sign me up for that!

Now, before I get ahead of myself, it is granted that it requires another State 2 mission to be in play, but if you're gonna be playing this mission, chances are, you're gonna be running 2 of Power of State 2 at least. I find it better than Temptation of Power and each of the State 2 effects are deadly in their own ways. Stackable, a decent tutor for Sound 4, and doesn't tamper much with the deck's original layout, however, Power of State 2 wasn't a staple in all Sound 4 decks I confess, but come on...it tutors. A solid card and an excellent preview nonetheless!

Limited: 1/5 *not confirmed if there'll be any State 2 ninjas, let alone Sound 4*
Constructed: 4/5
Art: Boy, this mission will certainly come in HAND-y......*slaps myself* ooowwww...sorry.
