Orochimaru
Today's card is a new version of everyone's favorite
Michael Jackson-Like Ninja: Orochimaru.
This card, an exclusive from the new Fire/Water
starter deck, helps you draw cards in the right
situation. If your opponent won two battle rewards
AND you have a Sasuke in play, at the end of the
turn your opponent won those two battle rewards
(could be more BR's) you draw two cards. It's pretty
good, but somewhat situational. There are better
Orochimarus in constructed.

Orochimaru
This is the starter Orochimaru. Excellent draw
effect if you have Sasuke in play, and Ambush
included, but you arne't running this over Presence.
This Orochimaru doesn't auto-end the game when you
pull him out on Turn 3 with Ghost Panic at the
Disco. The [For the Next Generation] set is just
filler for starter decks to have an excuse to not
have good Sannins in them. Any Orochimaru can do
better than this.

Orochimaru [For My Desire]
... -facepalm- Letting your opponent actively win
the game just to pick up 2 cards is a terrible
trade-off, especially on a Ninja with a Hand Cost,
that drops on Turn 6, and is named "Orochimaru". And
to top it all off, if you don't have Sasuke in play
when this happens, this card doesn't do squat. Yeah,
[Presence] over this guy all day long. I'm glad this
card is only a starter deck exclusive; I just have a
feeling that Bandai would've made this guy an
Uncommon or a Rare, and I would've thrown a tantrum
every time I pulled one. I find it a bit funny how
we have cards that are utterly absurd and then we
have cards that are just garbage. What happened to
the middle ground? =/
Orochimaru has been around since set 2 (Coils of the
Snake), and we've only seen like 2 good ones in all
this time. We'd better get a pro Orochimaru for his
fight against Naruto, Bandai. I'm serious.
