Beastly Mage

The Fifth Kazekage

Gaara's grown up, and he became a Kage...

Today's card is The Fifth Kazekage (Name: Gaara of the Desert). This two-named version of Gaara packs great stats, and a nice effect. When he's sent out to block you can discard a Wind Chakra, and this allows his whole team to be protected from your opponent's effects during the turn. That means that neither Missions, Jutsus, Ninja, or Client effects your opponent controls can affect the Fifth's team. That's a pretty sweet effect, IMO. On top of that it's valid, so it's even more useful. Try it and see.

Gaara of the Funk--- I mean, Kazekage.
This card has the most disappointing stats in the game. Think about it.

Anyway, this Gaara's pretty good, if you aren't using 9K. For a mere one Chakra with a chainable effect, you can transform his whole team into OC ninjas. Good? Yes. The only problem is losing a bit of power because of his bad stats. Tsunade WILL be your head ninjas, and you're going to have much better support stats than 2.

4/5

Art: Meh.

Fun Fact: Very handy for when the beach puts sand in your pants.
