Kazekage
Today's card is another Starter Deck exclusive. This
version of the Fifth Kazekage/Gaara can be deployed
(not put in play) from your discard pile, granted
you discard a Chiyo first. This effect is actually
good! Second effect explains why this guy's in the
new Lightning/Wind starter: he gets 0/+2 when he's
battling in the same team as two or more Leaf
Ninjas. Four support is good for a Satoosa-Level
Ninja, and being Gaara he's got access to some
killer Jutsus (notice that being without Shukaku
hasn't taken away the "Sand" Combat Attribute).
In Constructed, I don't really see this card seeing
any serious play. It's mostly due to the fact that
[Guardian of the Village] has an effect far superior
to this card. The revival effect is pretty cool, but
there's only 2 Chiyo (one of which that is pretty
much for strict use in Puppet decks) to utilize the
effect. And the first effect counts as your turn
deployment, which is also kinda "blah". A 6/4~4/4
Satoosa on Turn 5 is pretty solid, but there are
just better Gaara to use.
