Beastly Mage

Visual Jutsu

This is one lethal Jutsu for Sharingan Eye Ninjas. For just two Fire, you can change a Jutsu's text. That's right, it's not negation... it's something worst!!!

The target Jutsu is changed from whatever it was supposed to say to a Jutsu that reduces the user's combat, support, and mental power all the way down to ZERO. This can bring forth the difference between getting hit hard, and hitting your opponent hard. Of course, this is a reactive Jutsu, so you have to wait for your opponent to use a Jutsu to use this one. In limited, I'm not sure. In constructed, this could be a good sideboard material. Try it and see.

N. Jolly
J-537 Visual Jutsu

And now, introducing your favorite and prettiest reviewer in all of Naruto history...Mr. N. Jolly!

Yes, I am that good.

But now we have what is referred to the best of Fire's new reactive Jutsu, Visual Jutsu. Let's look at it's stats; Requirements: Sharingan Eye, Cost: FF, Target: One Jutsu card in play. The effect is that the user of the Jutsu card has it's power reduced to 0/0 and it's mental power reduced to 0. This card is a bit more expensive than Sharingan Eye, and really, this review is just a comparison of the two. Not only that, but this card, unlike Sharingan Eye, doesn't discard the targeted jutsu, so your opponent still gets that chakra when it resolves.

Now that's where is falls to Sharingan Eye...now don't get me wrong, I love this card. In so many situations it's better, as Fire doesn't build up a huge amount of off color chakra, other than maybe some Earth from playing LAR off of a Shika/Choji charge or any platoon you'd play in the deck, so the two Fire cost really isn't that bad. Second of all, this card pretty much assures that you'll win the battle and probably OV your opponent. Having Sharingan Eye as it's requirement means it can still be used on T0 with Sasuke, which protects you from any early game jutsu and if you actually land it, you'll probably wreck your opponent's team beyond repair, making the rest of the game that much easier.

Constructed:4.5/5 It's really good, just like Sharingan Eye
Limited:Amount of Sharingan Eye users X 1.5/5

StormVyper Zera Visual Jutsu

It's a known fact that the Sharingan Eye from Path to Hokage has had a pretty dominating grip over Fire's negation jutsu since the beginning of the game. That grip just got much, much looser. This card does everything Sharingan does (same users, virtually the same cost, and has the same target) but with an added debuff, trading away it's ability to duck under Gigantic Fan (a card that defined the jutsu line-up for an entire format and every format thereafter) as well as Sharingan's ability to immediately discard the negated jutsu (indirectly robbing an opponent out of 1 chakra). Ducking under Fan is a pretty negligible trick these days though IMO, so it basically comes down to whether you want to indirectly burn a chakra or debuff an opposing ninja completely. Burning a chakra is nice, but having a negation tool that can easily turn a Defeat for you into a Victory without ANY extra effort on your part seems good to me.

Limited: 4/5 (It's Sharingan Eye 2.0.)
Constructed: 4.5/5 (When you can rival or outright replace a card that's dominated it's position with an iron fist for 14 sets, you must be doing something right.)
Artwork: I would've preferred this card had the artwork for J-381 Kaleidoscope Sharingan. This art is far to plain.

Hello everyone and happy weekend to you all :). Today's card is another Reactive Jutsu from the next set and a much better one than the last we reviewed:

Visual Jutsu J-537

For the cost of 2 Fire(8 Trigrams cost), and the requirements of sharingan eye(can be used anytime in the game), you indirectly negate your opponent's jutsu and give an all around 0 to the user of said jutsu. Not a bad thing at all, although removal is better, this is nearly the same and sometimes better. From Sasuke Turn 0 to Itachi Turn 6, this jutsu can hit anytime in the game and run through an opponent's team and OV it. This reactive jutsu is pretty nice although it's fan-able it's like a Sharingan Eye with an added effect at the cost of paying a Fire Chakra instead of a Generic Chakra. This card will see 50/50 play as some people will still prefer Sharingan Eye due to its generic cost and other people wont mind paying specific chakra for a good added effect. That's my prediction.

Good move from bandai here and this jutsu will see play.

Limited: 1/5 (Specific chakra and users)
Constructed: 3.5/5 (Will be switched around with Sharingan Eye)

Art: Cold... ._./5
