Beastly Mage

Toki

[Frozen Time] is a pretty good effect. Hand control is always good in this game. She's got the same stats as a Temari, though the effect only activates when getting either a normal or outstanding battle reward. In limited she's really good, same with constructed. Try it and see.

Toki [Frozen Time]

Today, we introduce a powerful new 1 drop, Toki. By winning any type of BRs, you are able to make your opponent discard a card from their hand. 2 support for an entrance cost of 1 is good.

I thought this card was almost broken when it first came out. But after testing, I realized that this card is not for every deck. To use this card, you have to make sure that you can create massive teams right off the bat. If your 0 drops are filled with Sakuras and Inos, Toki might not be as effective as you would think. If you have Toki out and do have a big team, your opponent will try to chump block until late game when they can deploy something massive.

But regardless of that, Toki is a solid card. Having her effect go off even once can be quite detrimental to the opponent. You could always try to build a deck around Toki and the Hanabi/Hiashi platoon combined with missions that allow you to bypass youʼre opponents team. Try this card out for your deck and see if it works for you.

Rating: 4.2/5
