							M-304 "Threat of Akatsuki"

Hello, fellow Pojoers. This represents my "debut" as
a COTD reviewer for Pojo.com. Most of you know me
via the Naruto forum section. I will give you a
short "bio" of myself (couple sentences) before
							moving on to the review.

Well, there isn't a lot to say about myself.
Crossbow is my name (not my real name of course) and
bringing "intelligent" play to the game is my game.
I am currently the ripe old age of 25 (by gaming
standards) and I have the dual pleasure of being
both a Meijin (Judge/Organizer) as well as a player.
I have been playing card-related games for quite a
while and have dabbled in many other related forms
of entertainment. I, recently, traveled to
Rockville, MD where I placed in the Top 8 at their
Oct 11th Chunin. So, you can be assured that I will
try to review cards from my own experiences as well
as from an objective point of view.

With the short "bio" out of the way, on to the
review of M-304: Threat of Akatsuki.

Threat of Akatsuki (ToA) is a nifty
little mission card that does 2 things for your
Akatsuki ninjas (Itachi, Kisame, etc): They get a
+1/+1 stat boost and become immune to your
opponent's jutsu cards. You will also notice that it
is a turn-3 Fire/Water mission. Can anyone say
							"meant for Itachi and Kisame"?

Now, you have to ask yourself, is this card
worth the effort of putting it in your deck?

In my opinion, there are currently not enough
Akatsuki Ninjas to make building an Akatsuki-themed
deck. Therefore, this card gets that unpleasant
status of "waiting for Bandai to give me more cards
so I can see some play." Over all, the effect of the
card is quite good. Getting +1/+1 and Jutsu immunity
is nothing to scoff at, especially when (currently)
Akatsuki Ninjas tend to be somewhat lacking in those
areas. However, the lack of (currently) any Akatsuki
Ninjas besides Kisame and Itachi makes this card
							miss out on being played.
I would say this card is merely in the status of
"random tech" and will not see much play. But, give
it a try. With the coming of the 50-card main decks,
this card may be able to fill that 1-2 extra slots
you don't know what to do with.
