Beastly Mage

Kabuto Yakushi

Another day, another card. This one, from the upcoming set, is sure to please Water deck users. It's a Kabuto with all the same stats as the first Super Rare Kabuto, Medicine combat attribute, and (get ready) Ambush! On top of that it's got quite a good effect. He and any other Ninjas in his team with a turn cost of 5 or more can't be damaged by any of your opponent's effects. That's pretty sweet (particularly when in a damage-heavy meta). Try it and see.

Ratings:

Limited: 3/5
Constructed: 4/5
Art: Gotta love the new Water template!/5

For Tuesday we bring you the third part of the trio yesterday, Kabuto!

This Kabuto I like a lot in all honesty. He protects your whole team or turn 5 or more (Which water has in abundance) from getting hit with your opponents damage effects. This means that his team is immune to Disaster, Fireball, the new Rasengan, 2k Barrage, Suicidal action, Wind Blade, Kidomaru; the list goes on.
To top it all off, he’s got ambush too, always nice for getting ninja into play after charging them. For whatever reason though, they didn’t give him medical. Go figure. This card will have a hard time competing with CO Kabuto from Revenge, but I think it would all depend on your meta.

Limited: 4/5
Constructed: 3/5
Art: This guy is always pushing his glasses back up. Opti-grab anyone? (Please tell me someone gets this joke…)

Pojo Note: Doesn't Opti-grab make you cross-eyed though Nick?
