Naruto
[Desperate Pursuit]

N-274

Review Date: 03.05.08

Average Card Rating

Constructed: 2.80
Limited: 3.75

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.
3 = average.
5 is the highest rating.

Beastly Mage

Naruto [Desperate Pursuit]

Wet Chicken Naruto, as this version is known in my hobby shop (don't ask...) has the usual Naruto stats, including Clone Status. The effect allows you to choose one of your opponent's teams and that team can be the only one that can block this Naruto. In a Rasengan deck, this can be useful. Calling a bluff... dunno. Thing is that the effect only works if he's alone, so it can be dangerous, particularly late-game. But, let's say your opponent only has one team... and you have more... then, this Naruto can help.

Ratings:

Limited: 3/5 (not many turn-0's here)
Constructed: 3/5
Art: WET CHICKEN!!!/5

The First Hokage

Naruto Uzumaki [Desperate Pursuit]

Sorry for the lack of CotD reviews on my part, I've been busy dealing with a lot of things lately. Anyways, I'll take a look at this Naruto. He's turn 0, and honestly, has no potential in my book to be played over CoP at the moment.
He has Clone Status and Growth, sure enough, but a 3/0 is all he is going to get in injured status. And maybe be up to a 4/0 if you decide to use Growth.
The fact that he needs to be sent out by himself hurts as well for his effect.
With Shikamaru and Choji being heavily played, Naruto won't stand a chance at all. I'd play some other turn 0 instead of this Naruto.

My Ratings:

Constructed: 1.25/5
Limited: 3.5/5 A Turn 0 is why he gets this rating.
Art: 2.5/5

Uzumaki Naruto again!? (Sorry- I just think saying the Uzi-Maker part first, and THEN Narutar makes it sound better!) Well this time, he’s in pursuit. A great Turn Zero! If you don’t use One Last Attack or anything else, and your Meta’s filled with usF Ninjas (and your Deck uses lots of Support Ninjas) this is an excellent choice.

He can smash into the often-seen lone Ino, the expired – or new- Choji, or anything else! Just use lots of Support Ninjas, and with a usF-conquered Metagame, and Uzumaki Naruto can be awesome!

3.8 in the aforementioned Deck/Situation.
Wyatt Naruto Uzumaki N-274. This Naruto has standard stats for a turn 0 Naruto, 0/0,3/0. Although this one does have clone status, always a plus. His effect is similar to Shino(original opponent), when he's sent out to attack by himself you can select 1 of your opponent's teams, this ninja can only be blocked by the selected team. This Naruto is good in tempo, and for taking on that pesky Ino or whatever your opponent might have sitting by itself.

Constructed:4/5(There are likely better choices, but this is still a great Naruto)
Limited:4/5(A turn 0, good stats, and a good effect, yes please!)

Welcome Pojo'ers! Today's card we review Naruto Uzumaki [Desperate Pursuit].

Does his effect look familiar? That's right, it's Shino [Original Opponent], but turn 0, lightning and valid. However, the Shino is playable; this Naruto most likely isn't, only because there are better ones out there. It'd totally depend on the deck, but I still say Naruto CoP is the best out there at the moment.

Good card, good effect, but only belongs in certain decks. Casual Naruto stats as well, with clone status and growth.

Limited: 4/5 turn 0 omg!!
Constructed: 2/5
