Review Date: 03.14.08

Average Card Rating

Constructed: 3.70
Limited: 2.67

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.
3 = average.
5 is the highest rating.

Beastly Mage

Kimimaro [Assault from Behind]

Today we finish the week with Kimimaro's not-so-1337-but-still-good version. Assault from Behind allows you to move the head Ninja in your opponent's team and switch it with the back Ninja. That can be deadly most of the time. Even though this Kimimaro can't get your battle rewards to grow at an accelerated rate, he's still a good choice in limited and constructed formats. Problem in Limited is getting enough Water cards (or The Power of State 2). In constructed, he'll do just fine. Try it and see.

Ratings:

Limited: 3/5 (if you can draft enough Water cards, if not 1/5)
Constructed: 4/5
Art: Is that a drill?!/5

MeGaMaRiK
Welcome Pojoers! Today's card of the day is Kimimaro [Assault from Behind].

To me, I'd rather have this Kimi than the other super Kimi. He's just so good, the other one isn't good if you're in a losing position. This Kimi can change the game completely.

However, a turn 6 with 2 hand cost is pricey. Plus, Orochimaru and Second Hokage usually take the 6 spot. Kimi also lacks rank.

Good stats, good effect, bad costs. He's also not valid. Balanced card in my opinion.

Limited: 1/5
Constructed: 3/5

Have a Happy St. Patricks Day everyone!
Wyatt Kimimaru(Assault from Behind).  In my opinion the best Kimimaro.  He's a state 2 Kimimaro, which brings with it the whole +1 hand and entrance cost thing if you don't have power of state 2 out.  But, even if you have to pay the 2 hand cost and wait until turn 6 he's about worth it, with stats equal to the First Hokage, and an effect that can in and of itself destroy an opponent's team battling against him.  His effect is that during the exchange of jutsu, you can switch the head and one back ninja in the team battling against him.  Depending on which ninjas are in that team, this could cause an outstanding victory.  And he doesn't have to be head ninja, and works fine as a back ninja with 3 support healthy.  Of course, he has no rank, which hurts him, but he has a number of powerful jutsus, so that isn't too bad.

Constructed:4/5(5/5 in Sound deck with power of state 2)
Limited:4/5(This effect will win you games, it will just be really hard to get him out.)
