Beastly Mage

Mizuki

Today's card is Mizuki [Contact with Orochimaru]. He used to be Wind and now he's Water?! Well, he is a Prisoner, after all.

OK, sorry about that. On to the card...

This card's stats are pretty much the same as with his Vanilla version. He's got the Martial Arts attribute (not Taijutsu), and a one-shot deal effect. Discard just one chakra during the exchange of jutsu to give him three coins (each signifying +1/+1). Problem is what happens to the coins at the end of the turn... they turn into -1/-1! Here's an idea: Use his effect once, then use the As Equals mission, the coins get vaporized and you can use his effect once again. He could be useful, but is it worth it? That's all up to you.

Limited: 2.5/5
Constructed: 3/5

I'll make it short and painless for Mizuke. He has good stats for a turn 3, though there's better. Chunin is good, but there's still better. MP:1 is a nice thing to have, though. You can discard a Chakra to give him +3, but then he loses 2 points every turn (losing a +1 coin, getting a -1 coin).

The sheer power of 7/5 especially at such an early turn, is truly remarkable. Though this card is generally a piece a crap, the power of surprise and suspense will be enough to let the opponent scare themselves. The only way to shed this fear would be to stop simply delaying the inevitable and force Mizuki to use his ability or get beaten up.

4/5 for being as suspenseful as waiting for a retard to solve a math problem.

Art: 1/5. He's pretty ugly.

FUN FACT: My birthday's in three days ^_^ I guess that's a fun fact for me :3
