Crystal Ball Jutsu

This is one of the few cards that lets you look at your opponent's hand. One fire and one anything seems reasonable, since you're likely to draw a card. This card changes depending on how much you value intelligence (and I don't mean Mental Power.) If you like to know what jutsus, ninjas, etc. your opponent has, then it's decent; if you like to just bulldoze ahead, then another Tora would be better. This card is weakened by all the Toras and (somewhat) One Mornings going about; if they have one, you still won't know what they draw with it, as well as the fact that being a Jutsu makes it somewhat unwieldly.

An interesting alternative to Tora if you find yourself with a lot of chakra.

Limited/Constructed: 2.5/5

Crystal ball Jutsu

Well let’s kick off our path to hokage week by looking at an old classic.

The advantages of this card is, that you get to look at you opponents hand.
If your opponent is holding any game changing cards you will be able to see them coming. Also the other advantage is that if they have a ninja in their hand you get to draw a card. It can be used by any ninja and it has an ok chakra cost.

However with R&R’s release there are much better Jutsu cards out there. Also if you opponent doesn’t have a ninja in their hand then you don’t get the free card.

My advice is that if you play a deck around seeing what you opponent is holding then you will want to be playing this. It is a good card and can give you an advantage. It depends on your own feelings out the card. Try it out.

Beastly Mage

Crystal Ball Jutsu (j008)

Hey there, Pojo-ers. Beastly Mage here once again. Today's card is Crystal Ball Jutsu, from the very first starter decks. Drawing power is good, but this card is way too situational. If your opponent's got a full hand, it can help, but what about an empty-handed opponent? Not much else to say about this card.

Crystal Ball Jutsu
Jutsu
Fire
Chakra: 1 Fire, and 1 anything
Effect: Look at all the cards in your opponent's hand. If they have 1 or more Ninjas in their hand, draw 1 card.

Ok, coming back from a week off, my 1st CotD since last week, is Crystal Ball Jutsu!
This is'nt necessarilly(sp?) a bad Jutsu. But you would expect a Jutsu to actually do something big, right?

IMO, this would have been better as a Mission Card. I prefer "Mission of capturing the missing pet Tora" over this.

Its a Fire card, and thats currently the best Element, so thats a big plus.

What I don't like about this card, is that last part of the effect, the part that says, "If they have 1 or more Ninjas in their Hand". Ok. What if they have no Ninjas in their Hand? then you just wasted this card AND 2 Chakra. Which brings me to my next point.

WHY did they find it necessary to make this 2 Chakra? 1 of anything and 1 Fire? I'm sorry, but why would I waste a Fire chakra on this, when I could save it for a Fireball Jutsu? I think they should have just made this card's chakra payment 1 of anything, and kept it at that.

I know this guy at my job who uses this against me alot, but so far, hes yet to beat me, so I am alittle bit biased.

Constructed: 2.5/5 [I would sooo rather use Mission of capturing the missing pet Tora or even High Speed Body]
Limited: 2/5 [Same as above, but it loses points here because you should be throwing in Fireballs, not this]
Art: 1.5/5 [Pervy old man, anyone?]
