Beastly Mage

Homura Mitomon (n-199)

OK, first of all, why would they make a Ninja like this?! No combat, no support, only increases stats by one combat point... What the heck?! 0.o Two Mental points can be good, but still, this guy will get pwn3d instantly!

Ratings:

1/5 all around

Homura Mitomon
Okay, lets see: 0/0 for a 5 drop. It better have an incredible effect.
A +1 boost for leaf ninja? Guess not.

Limited/Constructed: 1/5

Swordmaster

Thursday's card is Homura Mitomon and I'm not particularly thrilled by this one. For waiting until Turn 5 and giving up a card you get a 0/0 ninja who gives all your Leaf Ninjas +1/+0. That really only helps the Head ninja and the fact that he has no stats means he'll be staying at home most of the time. We have better: Izumo and Kotetsu, Spectator, both of which give Ninjas +1/+0 for a discard while remaining in the Village and can do it more than once. Homura's is a permanent bonus, but the restriction on the Ninjas it gives the bonus to and the fact you can only have one Ninja with the same name in your village at a time means he doesn't really do much for you. Hokage Rocks basically does the same thing yet can be used in multiples of 3, which is significant. He may be useful to you, but his stats are what really kill him.

Limited: 2/5(you really want a ninja with better stats more than the power-up).
Constructed: 2/5(Earth's staple of ninja at Turn 5 isn't much better than him).

Today we look at Homura Mitomon, the senior adviser, and let me stress senior (as in Senior Citzen).  Homura is a confused old man wrapped up in the complex politics and hierarchal system of the leaf village, so why does he get his own card.  I mean, come on, I could kick this guy’s ass, with his nerdy green glasses and shawl.  Besides having god awful stats, he has a crappy effect not worth the cardboard it’s printed on.  Who’s going to waste a ninja slot on this guy, if you want strong leaf ninja teams, run Hokage Rocks, but not this crap bag.

His effect only targets the head ninja and only if it’s a leaf ninja, so that’s one ninja per team an on turn 5 you probably have 2 strong teams, so that’s plus one to each.  You may think that’s a good thing, but not when you could drop a Jiraiya and add 5 (soon to be 7) onto a team or a Kakashi.  This guy is a waste of a card who will see no play, at all, and come on Bandai, could you at least make it a little less obvious that you hate earth so freaking much.

Limited:  1/5 (sucky, sucky)

Constructed:  1/5 (probably even  worse than limited)

Art:  1/5 (why does he even try to look serious, he’s just going to get his ass kicked.  Maybe he has Alzheimer’s and forgot he was old)
