Beastly Mage

Ninja Toad (n198)

Hello again, Naruto fans. Today's card is another toad. This one's stronger than Gama (combat-wise). Problem is that, just like Gama, he can't use any jutsus. But he does return to the bottom of the deck like Gama, so he does have a point in his favor. In a Toad deck he works great. In Lightning decks he could be useful. Try it and see.

Ratings:

Constructed: 4/5
Limited: 4/5
Art: 3/5

Ninja Toad
The four turn Toad Summon; run it in a toad deck, and pretty much nowhere else.

Constructed Toad Deck: Toad/5
Limited: 3/5, for good beatdownness

Wednesday's card is Gamatatsu, I'm guessing. Gamatatsu makes all your Ninja Toads come out a turn earlier, so you can see the old Gama at Turn 1, the new Gama at Turn 3, Gamabunta at Turn 6 or 7 depending on which you have, and that's pretty much it. His stats are 0/0 all around, but you play him if you want your toads out faster. He's a staple for Ninja Toad decks and that's about it.

Limited: 1/5(you won't pull enough Ninja Toads to be worth it)
Constructed: 2/5(Only in a Ninja Toad deck)

Today we get to look at Ninja Toad, a card with a name so good, how could it be bad.  Ninja toad is from the leaf village and has good stats for a four drop but can be played on turn three due to the effect of Gamatatsu, making him even better.  He’s also a toad, so he can be summoned using lightning’s summoning jutsu.  He can’t use jutsu, but like most toads, returns to the bottom of your deck instead of getting discarded, possibly preventing you from decking out eternally.

Even with his good stats, Ninja toad runs into the same problem Tsume does, people are looking for support or insane attack in the four drop slot.  Ninja toad just doesn’t deliver.  He’ll probably only see play in Toad decks or lightning/ X decks where he is a solid ninja but also a good source of chakra.  Ninja Toad is a solid ninja who might see play in some lightning or toad decks and maybe (if the meta changes) will be splashed into tournament decks.

Limited:  4/5 (no hand cost and great stats)

Constructed:  3/5 (already staples at 4 but that may change)

Art:  5/5 (How could you not love a ninja toad)
