Suien
[Easy Power]

Card Number: 132

Review Date: 12.06.06

Average Card Rating: 4.2

Suien [Easy Power]

Pros: Possible 7/3 on Turn 4
Ripe For Twin Snake and The End of the Demon After Power Drop

Cons: Power Drop
Chump Blocker If You Can’t Use TSSJ or TED (Yeah…I said TED, Party on Dudes!)

The strong get stronger, until they get weaker. Ironic, no? Suien does what he’s supposed to do, just like in the Jump Fiesta special that’s a filler in America. He gets huge and goes “ROAR” and then crumples into a little ball and becomes useless. As I stated in my pros, however, he makes great bait for TSSJ and TED after he’s been made into a weenie.

Constructed: 4/5 (Solid water card and a common rare)
Limited: 4.5/5 (Awesome pull if you’re building water)
Art: 3.5/5 (The Hero Water effect is a nice touch)

Party On

Dekoichi

Name: Suien

[Easy Power]
You can discard one of your chakras to give this ninja +2/+2 until the end of the turn. Then put a ninja blade coin on this ninja symbolizing -1/-1.
Healthy 5/1
Injured 3/1

Well, it looks great at first glance. At least it did to me. Then I thought about the fact that you have to kill a chakra to play it, but that's not much of a downside as much as it's a cost. Then you gotta give it -1/-1 permenantly. A 4/0 isn't so great. I think you could actually just try to get a kunai at the same time, and you would replace the chakra and not give it -1/-1. BUT, you have to draw the kunai with it. If you play with it, you find out it's worth it. a 7/3 third turn isn't so bad. In the long run, it'll help.

Constructed: 3.9/5 (Not quite a 4, but good.)
Limited: 4.5/5 (Amazing. You pull one, you play it. Even if it's a splash, or you need to change colors. But if it's a draft, and it's the last card, don't change colors.)

the bogosian explosion

Wow another card i have a million of for some reason....him and shibiki are in a war, except shibiki can actually USE hero's water =P

Ello everyone, its Suien! Ehhh im not to fond of him myself, yes he is a turn 4 5/1 that can easily become a 7. Opinionated: I find him pathetic, it is like the noob solution to power, its actually kind of funny. They waste their chakra pumping him so they really cant use other jutsus.

I'd rather play kunai and not get a minus 1 at the end of the turn, and with yori Akado (CHKRA ABSRB) and his jutsu seeing a lot of play in water decks...this guy is just a turn 4 5/1. And as i stated above, shibiki could use hero's water and kill this guy even when Suien pumps himself up....now thats a kick in the pants =)

However now that I analynze him, I just might consider side decking this guy.

Constructed: 3/5
Limited: 4/5
