Welcome to another week of Exclusive Previews.
Today's card is Knockout Blow, a Wind Jutsu that's
sure to please a lot of players. This card requires
a Jonin (or higher ranking) Ninja to use it. Now, on
to the effect: it injures a Ninja and makes it a
Stand-By. That's kinda like adding insult to
injury... literally! Dunno how this card could do in
booster draft, but in the right deck it could be a
killer. Now, remember, it's "change to injured
status" and not "give one damage"... just for the

Ah, we once again start another week. Today is MLK
day, so if you have off, enjoy it! If you don’t
(like me), then well it’s just a normal Monday.
Also, this week is inauguration week, so in honor of
that, Bandai has given us wind previews! (Believe
me, unlike water, you’ll like some of these.)
Now, everyone was asking that wind get some decent
removal, and here we go. Finally, wind has a good
way to interrupt a jutsu chain or stop ninja
effects. For two wind chakra (which is cheap knowing
wind’s chakra generation rate) you can not only
injure a ninja, but bounce them back to standby.
Remember, you can still bounce an injured ninja, so
if you need to interrupt a chain, use this. Yeah, it
can be fanned, but so can Trigram. Wind no longer
has problems with Jonin, so the requirement is not a
problem. Gaara, Tsunade, Shizune, Baki, Kurenai and
Gen (who you’ll see Friday) can all drop this nifty
card. If you wish, you can follow this up with Wind
Blade to kill the ninja as it sits on the sidelines.
I’ll definitely be giving this one a shot.

Hello Mojo-ers! Er, hello Pojo-ers! This week we

Knockout Blow SMACKS the opponent and removes them
from the time. Try it on their back ninjas for free
damage to two different ninjas. This card is going
to be played in pairs in every wind deck, no

So after a fairly interesting first week of
previews, we have one special card. Knockout Blow
from A New Chronicle (set 12)
For 2 solid wind, you can not only injure an
opposing ninja, but also bounce it back to the

This is a very nice card, It is one of the few and
proud offensive jutsu cards that don't require Gaara
of the Desert, meaning it's a much more stable of a
card as 2-3 of your turn drops will have access to
It's a late game card, but it does many different
things, it can stop non-valid ninjas (Itachi Goal?),
it can negate jutsu cards (a Jutsu card's user must
be battling) or it can eliminate chump blocking to
give you battle rewards.
This card has only 2 downsides to it. First is the

wind making a comeback (wait till you see the rest
of wind week here at pojo.com) that could cause some

J-443 Knockout Blow
Now here is a card that'll end up being used for a
long time in my opinion. It's for 2 wind, requires a
Jonin, and has a very good effect against a battling
ninja. injuring that ninja and forcing it into a
standby role. That right there turns off ninja
effects, and takes it's team power out of the team.
It's the best response to non valid effect users in
my opinion, and if they're already injured, you can
still target them, as per the Water Dragon ruling.
For a somewhat watered down Trigram, I think it
should have a reduced cost, like 1 wind one
colorless. But who am I to judge Bandai? If they
want to build a card like this, go for it, it's
With the new Baki, Shizune, Tsunade, and Fifth Gaara,
you'll pretty much always have a user for this
jutsu. Just use it well, and it'll work out fine.
