2: Discard a Black styled card from your hand to have your next Black styled attack this turn gain "Unstoppable" and "Unpreventable."

Black Assistance is one of those cards that I love and don't like at the same time. It seems like a fillerish card for me. Why's that? It requires two cards (itself) and another card from the hand to make something Unstoppable and Unpreventable. Sure, that's great if you pull it off, but are you willing to pay 2 stages and 2 cards to do this? Having an Unpreventable Unstoppable Black Throw could finish off a game, especially if you boost the damage, so it's not a bad thing.

You can get what I call a "reuse" of the Mastery, which is a good thing with Black's attacks, although most of those attacks with special effects don't do much damage.

For me, it depends a lot on the deck. Many decks would be better off using the slots for another 2 cost attack to waste whatever block/refocus your opponent would use on it, but some focus on making a specific attack hit. It all depends.

Sorry I’ve been gone for so long, I’m still a little busy, so I am not able to give long reviews.

This card is a half/half card. If your opponent doesn’t want to take damage, you get cards back. If they do want to take damage, well you get to laugh at them.

Very useful indeed. Use it when you have almost no cards left, or your opponent has mo cards left. The bad thing is that you can’t keep using it. Its not restricted yet, so you can put a few more copies of this guy in your deck. But, remember, after you use it, you got to remove it from play.

It’s also (again) more of a half/half card. Your opponent chooses what to do. For every card he takes, it takes away from you. For example, if he decided to take 3 cards, you only get to take 2 cards back.

Well, that’s all for me today. See you guys soon.

*crowed screams "WELCOME BACK MUSASHI!"* Ok, fantasy ends. Today's card is Black Assistance from Showdown. I gotta say, this set has really beefed up the playing field. Black is *pun warning, pun warning* unstoppable! Used with Black style (no reason to play colorless, unless you just want to) it can lead to a large 5 unstoppable attacks, the last of which is also unpreventable. now, black still needs better stage gaining, but it is shaping up. Musashi's Rating: 4.2/5.0

GDK Black Assistance

This card helps black decks, as making more attacks unstoppable is what you want to do with the black style. The fact that it also makes the attack unpreventable makes the deal sweeter. And Black has a lot of attacks with high damage, so they will lose quite a bit of their deck with one attack.

All right, all, we are back at it. It has been a while to be sure, but hopefully now we will be able to do this more regularly. Anyways, enough formalities, on to the review.
Black Assistance is a nice addition to black decks if only because it will allow you to more easily tap into all the hidden powers of black style's attacks. You know, all of those "if this attack is unstoppable then" blah blah blah. So being able to use those easily is nice. Although you do have the mastery to help being able to do it twice in a turn is certainly a plus.
The downside, of course, is that you have to discard a Black styled card from your hand in order to get the effect. This is not all that bad though as almost every card in your hand should be black, except for a finisher or other freestyle card of some kind. The cost of two is trivial because if you think about it you will be paying a lot more for attacks and this allows one of your really important attacks to get through, seems like a good trade-off to me.

Black Deck: 4.5/5.0 - Basically getting a free attack is nice, by free I mean that you have no fear of it being stopped. If you have been having trouble pulling off attacks often enough with the mastery in your black deck, then try to fit this in and see how it works.

Any Other Deck: 3.0/5.0 - If you have a mish-mash deck with a lot of black cards then this could help you out quite a bit. If you have almost no black cards in your deck, or none, then this card is essentially useless, except for maybe discard fodder.

Overall: 3.75/5.0 - Excellent in a black-heavy deck, useless anywhere else.
That's basically it.

That's all, folks!
