GenCon Indy is in a few days. I'll be there along with pretty much all the
great DBZ players for the invitational and the Premier event. Won't get back until Monday, but if anything, expect some good stuff to come out this
event.

Broly - Bio-Broly Level 3 - Dragon Ball Z Re-Z Arrival
Promo - F1
Personality - Main

Power level: 37,500 going down by 500.
PUR 3
Saiyan
Power: Physical attack doing 5 damage. 1: Your Saiyan styled attacks do +1
damage this turn.

Whee. the only unreleased card that isn't printed in the main set that we've
seen so far. He's nothing to sorely miss, but he does present an interesting
twist.

Most level 3 personalities aren't really playable due to low PUR and lack of
named cards at their disposal. Broly doesn't have a finisher either, so that
hurts him a lot. But if you do it right, you can abuse a lot of things with
him. You'll be able to use his power every turn, noting that if you do go
the Saiyan route it's going to be 1 for 4. Consider using it as a refocus if
you want to avoid the -1 modifier.

On the other hand, take a look as his power. Giving +1 to all Saiyan attacks
means that all your simple Saiyan AT damage attacks do 10 damage, provided
you're not at zero. Hit a couple of those and you've easily won. Not to
mention all your other cheap attacks.

Broly should definitely be taken a look at, even if you don't play Saiyan.
Sure you can't play him until September, but be sure to pick up a copy of
the Bio-Broly movie just in case. In time, he's sure to get support cards.

PUR – 3

Power – Physical attack doing 5 damage, Saiyan, 1: Your Saiyan styled attacks do +1 damage this turn.

I’ve noticed that Lv. 3’s don’t do as well because of the lack of allies. At least, from what I’ve seen. His stages are massive compared to other characters, and he is sure to deal 7 damage every time on the AT, unless he’s at 0. That’s kewl. He has a decent PUR of 3, so you’ll still want to run the stage gaining cards such as Saiyan Happiness, etc. And his power is a 5 for 1 (4 if you’re running him in the deck he’s meant to be run in) and adding an additional +1 damage to Saiyan attacks. Personally, his power seems kind of lack-luster, considering that if I want a +1 to all my attacks, I’ll just run Vegeta as an ally and still have room for a different MP. 4 damage for 1 is nice, but without any allies to help out, I don’t think being a Lv. 3 just for an attack doing 4 damage is worth it. While the PUR is nice, again, certain allies can help certain MPs out. You know who I’m talking about. And the stages. I’d love to be able to do 7 damage for every AT attack, but then you’ve got the other stuffs being not so nice. Plus, with all the costs for every card, he’s going to be going through stages fast, meaning that he won’t be doing 7 damage for long anyways. All in all, he looks nice, and maybe later he’ll be good, but for now, he’s not.

Broly – Bio Broly

Ok guys, I’m sorry I was gone last week. No excuse . Anyway, I’m back this week and I had the honor of picking the cards this week. Anyway, enough about that, here is the review.

I’m sure you all know this, but Broly is my favorite villain, so I decided to give his new promo a review. He’s a Level 3; so don’t think too much about playing him, unless your playing with the old cards too. I mean common, you can’t expect to play Broly with JUST the Saiyans starting out, can you? Anyway, he’s got a pretty good ability, He helps out your Saiyan cards a lot, since well, he IS a Saiyan… of course, and it only does +1 damage with his ability…

Not the best looking card either if you ask me…
