DBZ CCG Card of the Day

Sorry, We Don't Have This Card

Android 18, the Wife (Lv.2)

GT Super 17 Saga

Reviewed 7.29.2004

Avg. Expanded Rating: 2
Avg. Focused Rating: 3.5

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst.  3 ... average.  5 is the highest rating.

KingBroly Android 18, the Wife (Lv.2)
Max Power: 2,300,000
PUR: 5
Power: 4: [Energy [8] (2)] For the rest of combat, your Opponent cannot discard any of your Android 18 named cards in play. If stopped, the next energy attack you perform this combat gains "Remain 1" or "Remain +1".
Expanded Format
The only bright side to this from the level 1 power (Wednesday's review) is that it does 2 stages. Also, if it probably won't be stopped, but if it is then I suggest using Heat Seeking Blast since the only way this power will be stopped is if they have an all-stopper.
Rating: 2/5
Focused Format
In GT, there are a lot of Defense cards, with this in play, it'll most likely lead to a successful attack, because your Opponent won't want to have to face 2 more extra attacks this turn anyway.
Rating: 3.5/5

Matthew Low
Android 18 the Wife Level 2 – GT Super 17 Saga Uncommon - #57 Main Personality

Power: Energy attack doing 8 life cards and 2 power stages of damage. Costs 4 power stages to perform. For the rest of Combat, your opponent cannot discard any of your Android 18 Named cards in play. If stopped, the next energy attack you perform this Combat gains "Remain 1" or "Remain +1."

Talk about an upgrade. She does one less life, but she tacks on 2 stages which can really help against characters like Trunks, and note her PUR goes up to 5. The cost has gone up but who really cares.

She keeps around her old effect and tacks on a new one. Anyone thinking doesn’t want Android 18 to give one of her next energies Remain +1, which basically means they’ll have to stop an additional attack and note secondary effects.

With that in mind, this attack should hit more often than not. Use that to your advantage. It also makes her for a nice ally, allowing you to use her power and then if it does get stopped, double use a big energy in your hand and get down to zero to use the rest of your friends.

As an MP, she’s decent. I can see people possibly abusing her if you can set it up so her attack is automatically stopped, and thus giving one of your better attacks Remain 1. Try her out in Focused and Expanded if you want to try something different. Never know when an Android 13’s Prepared Stance with Remain 1 can become helpful.

As an ally… Orange Aura and Saiyan Supreme welcome her with open arms. She’s that good of an ally.

Expanded: 3.8 out of 5.0 (good ally, interesting combos with Remain)
Focused: 3.8 out of 5.0 (good ally, could be tried out as MP)
Sealed: 3.5 out of 5.0 (only good if you either pull her or manage to use her as an ally)
