Bojack’s Overhead Toss – Bojack Unbound Subset – Kid Buu Saga Promo/Insert - #27 Energy Combat

Power: Energy attack doing 6 life cards of damage. Lower your opponent's anger 3 levels. If used by Bojack and your opponent has 5 or more Non-Combat cards in play, your opponent discards his Non-Combat cards one at a time until he has 4 Non-Combat cards in play.

Reading through this card you might not think you should run 4 copies, but come to think of it, it can be quite useful in many situations. This card should only be run in Bojack decks, but I would recommend 4 in any of those.

There are a lot of different Non-Combat based decks out there, and this card can easily sweep the board of all but 4. There are a lot of decks out there that easily get out more than 4, and hence this card will help reset the board. Sure it will leave the 4 most powerful ones, but you’ll be able to concentrate on those with other cards like Bido’s Charge. Freestyle Decks will still keep their drills, so make sure you pack some ability to remove those.

Not only can it help combat the many non-combat decks in the environment, it lowers anger 3. Normally you wouldn’t look at that as that big of a deal, but if you examine all the other Bojack support cards, this is the only one that directly lowers anger. Hence, with the 1-3 anger threat around in the environment, the precious lower anger 3 is more than needed. Sure it will help only in certain matches, but in those matches you’ll be glad you have it.

This card isn’t removed from the game either, so keep that in mind when using it. You’ll be able to control your opponent’s board control and get this card back no sweat if you have a little regeneration.

Even outside of that, it is still an energy attack for 6 life, which can be somewhat useful even if your opponent doesn’t play a ton of nons or attempt to level.

Just use this attack with Bojack and watch your opponent cry when he has to discard 5 or so non-combats if he doesn’t have an energy block or one of them Android 20 Absorbing Drills out. Oh, and as a bonus, it gets around Orange Focusing Drill too…

Standard: 4.5 out of 5.0 (kills non-combat decks, slows anger)
Tuff Enuff: 3.8 out of 5.0 (not as many of those decks in this format)
Sealed: 4.1 out of 5.0 (decent energy and lowering of anger)

This is a pretty good card. Six life cards of damage is alright, and the
lowering of your opponen'ts anger can be very helpful. It's also good to
get rid of Non-Combat cards. This card is only very good against a few
decks, only if you use Bojack. This card is about average, the anger
lowering is all that keeps it there.

Standard: 2.5
Tuff Enuff: 2.65

Not really that great. The lowering of 3 anger is decently nice, but the other effect, while, like alot of cards from this subset, more or less limits it to being used by Bojack, is not that useful. Against Dragonball or other non-combat/setup heavy decks it is nice, but otherwise, it is just a 6 life energy that lowers anger by 3. Useful, but there is better stuff for Bojack, and in most styles.

Limited 2.5 out of 5 (not truly Bojack only, and it is a decent energy that can slow anger victory for a turn, assuming that is legal in your sealed deck format)
