Bojack’s Extreme Assailment – Bojack Unbound Subset – Kid Buu Saga Promo/Insert - #33 Energy Combat

Power: Focused energy attack doing 5 life cards of damage. Set all player’s anger levels to 2. If successful, you may shuffle any of your Allies that are removed from the game that have the Bojack Unbound Subset Symbol into your Life Deck. Remove from the game after use.

GT comes out today! Oh yeah!

Alright, here’s the card that says, “Ok, so now I’m totally hosed when it comes to killing off Bojack and his allies.”

I mean, decks like Android ally and normal ally decks were dealt with easily with a card known as Cell’s Presence, or more or less any ally removal out there. Once that card made it through, there was not much that could be done. So normally, you’d expect that if someone could remove Bojack’s 4 allies that would be good game right? Wrong.

This is one of the few cards that get allies back from the removed from the game pile. Sure Fond Memories and Android Tag Team work nicely, but this one is the powerhouse. If this energy hits, all 4 allies come back to life and go back into the deck. How messed up is that. Coming back into the deck only means that the many other card Bojack has that search out allies will come into use again. Thus, there’s no permanent way to deal with Bojack’s allies… unless you remove all 4 and all copies of this card. That in itself is a task, and isn’t easy to do.

Even without this effect, it is still a focused energy doing 5 life, which is nice against some DB variations and so forth. The secondary effect of setting anger level to 2 means this card can easily be played in non-Bojack decks. This is one of the few Bojack inserts that have more than one purpose. Dragon’s Victory decks will embrace this card with open arms, easily helping setting up a close DV. One of these, and raise anger 2 card, a raise opponent’s anger 1 card, and DV would be good game, and that’s not that hard to have in 1-2 hands. To top that off, that part is a secondary effect. Even though the if successful effect won’t be used, it is still quite good for both archtypes.

Have fun killing all 4 allies five separate times… or watching your anger level. You can even use this to help advance yourself to Bojack’s nice level 2 as well.

Also, if you want to be funny, you can even bring Trunks the Weaponmaster back as an ally 4 more times… even though he’s a terrible ally because his power is When Entering Combat…

Standard: 4.3 out of 5.0 (dual purpose card for DV/Bojack ally makes this card shine) Tuff Enuff: 4.1 out of 5.0 (ditto)
Sealed: 4.5 out of 5.0 (could be used as anti anger, helps level for anger victory, and decent energy) ~matthewlow
~Surllio~ Bojack's Exteme Assailment
Bojack Unbound Subset Card #33

This card compliments Bojack so well, especially if someone has removed your allies from the game, like a gohan freestyle deck sword sweeps you, and next turn uses the Bookworms ability to remove three of your allies. This card is the answer to that.

Why a Bojack deck wouldn't run three of these is beyond me. It starts off as a powerful focused energy attack for 5 life cards. Thats a decent energy attack, the fact that its focused makes it even better. The rest of the card text is just nice.

Set all players anger to 2. That right there is your anger tech. Your opponent is at level 4 on the anger sword, suddenly he is at 2. This can hurt too, but its not likely, even if they were at 0 anger, its only two, they can gain that by block the attack if they wanted to, just depends on deck you are against.

Now for the rest of the text. Take all Bojack unbound subset allies in the remove from the game pile, and shuffle them back into the life deck. Thats the biggy. Just when you thought you got rid of those annoying allies he is running, they are suddenly back in the deck, and Bojack is running plenty of allies pullers, trust me, most every attack in the set pulls an ally as a side effect. This make this card just wrong.

This is a great card for any deck that utilizes Bido, Bujin, Zangya, and Kogu, but it benifits Bojack ten fold, simply because he relies on them and can have for of this card in his deck. Thats just wrong.

Overall: 4.5 of 5 Evil card that works well for Bojack unbound allies, and Bojack.

 Bojack's Extreme Assailment

Now this, we like. Focused has always been one of my favorite effects, as it punches through all the annoying dual-blocks out there. The energy is average size, at 5, but the secondary/if-successful effects make this tier. The setting of anger reminds me of Dragon's Glare, an old banned card, but this one is one less, and comes attached to a 5 life card stick, so it is decent. Time it right, and you gain two anger, which Bojack (or someone else, assuming you are not playing Bojack) may or may not need. Either way, it fits in anger decks well enough on that effect alone. It can also be used defensively to slow anger, if your opponent is at any anger greater than two, but I do not see it being used that way very often. Pure anti-anger will take cards that out and out lower anger over this. The other part of the card lets Bojack, or any other ally deck, get his minions back into their deck, which is amazing, considering the synergy of a Bojack deck (or any other ally deck, really) relies on getting those minons out and playing tag-team. Bojack just does not have to lower himself to one above zero to do so. So it makes you fear ally hate (Cell's Presence, in particular) just a bit less. If your Bojack allies have been removed, you may have problems timing this to hit, but it's possible.

Constructed 3.5 out of 5 (A good tech card for Bojack decks, not utterly necessary, but good in certain situations)

Limited 2.5 out of 5 (You need alot of Bojack allies to make this really worth it, but on it's own it is not horrible, focused 5 life, the setting of anger can hurt or help)
