Bujin Level 1 – Bojack Unbound Subset – Kid Buu Saga Promo/Insert - #6 Personality – Ally

Power: Energy attack doing 6 life cards of damage. If successful, you may discard a card from your hand to choose either Physical Combat, Energy Combat, or Combat Cards. For the remainder of Combat, your opponent cannot use that card type unless his Main Personality is 5 power stages above 0 or higher.

And we thought Krillin’s Solar Flare, Piccolo’s Fist Block, and Red Shielded Strike were good. Well in the Backlash sense and KSF in the anti physical sense. Roll them all into one and you’ve got Bujin.

A lot of decks out there rely on a specific type of Combat card, and a well timed Bujin can easily cripple an opponent one Combat, long enough for you to breakthrough and eat your opponent’s deck apart. Krillin’s Solar Flare can shutdown a physical deck as well a deck’s ability to stop physical attacks, so hence it was thrown into many physical decks to throw an opponent off. Bojack decks run a hybrid of physical and energy attacks, and hence Bujin is an amazing asset, being able to shutdown any type of block necessary. Hitting his attack could be almost like a Chaiotzu’s Psychic Halt in a sense.

Not only does he shut Physical and Energy Combats, he can shutdown Combat cards. If you’ve got some important Combat card you want to use without fear of a Sphere, or know your opponent has some powerful Combat cards in his hand, Bujin can come in handy. DB decks won’t be able to end combat and so forth.

Sure your opponent can still use the card if he’s at higher than 5 stages above 0 or higher, but that’s easily taken care of with Bojack’s power and nearly any supporting card out there. A simple Kogu power with Black TS Mastery out will do the trick. Not hard at all.

Regardless, Bujin’s energy for 6 is not shabby. There aren’t a lot of allies who have that big attacks, especially with the amazing if successful effect. Ditch a pointless card for a lockdown ability; looks like a bargain to me.

Bujin is not only amazing in Bojack decks but as an ally in nearly any other villain ally deck. His ability and energy for 6 is nothing to ignore. Try him out in other villain decks; he’s a very good option if you need an ally with a big attack and nice effect.

His ability to shutdown Multiform decks, as well as many Broly decks and SWK Red with his power gives Black Bojack a great chance in the current environment.

Standard: 4.7 out of 5.0 (powerful ally that can easily shutdown many decks) Tuff Enuff: 4.7 out of 5.0 (what else can I say…)
Sealed: 4.9 out of 5.0 (He’s a broke ally, great power, big attack… someone tell me exactly how pulling him is bad? Besides he’s a villain if you get a hero MP.) ~matthewlow
~Surllio~ Bujin Level 1
Bojack Unbound Subset

Wow, what a set of wonderful Allies Bojack has.

Bujin is just nice. Like all of Bojack's Allies, he is a rank C all the way up, which is really nice in the early goings of a game, and sometimes, the later part as well. You never have to worry about dropping a bracket unless he manages to fall all the way down. His ability is just as good as his power stages. Considering Bojack screams physical beatdown, this is a relativly nice energy attack. Its locks down one type of card after use. This is the energy attack that everyone will be wanting to stop, simply because it can shut off any card in the game from your opponent for one whole turn. Tied in with Blue Mental Drill, and you've got your opponent tied down.

What makes this thing even nicer is the fact that Bojack on Stage 1 can let any one of his allies take control at any givin point. That means, you can use this attack when you feel you need it the most, or when you KNOW it will be most successful. There are so many combos with this card its just insane.

Bojack decks are evil, and he can work well with just about any color. Bujin adds a degree of depth to this villian and his stratigies. His other allies aren't half bad, but this one has to be one of the best, especially when tied with the right cards.

Rating: 4.0 of 5, Great Ally no matter for who, but with Bojack, just evil.
