Frieza Level 1 – GT Super 17 Saga
Common - #24
Personality

Power: Energy attack doing 10 life cards of damage and costs 4 power stages to perform. For the rest of Combat, the power stage cost on your Frieza Named cards gain - 3, to a minimum of 0.

Not bad, not bad. Definitely blows any other Frieza ally out of the water. I’d also probably use him as an MP as well over any of the others.

Big energy for 10 is something to definitely be smiling about if anything. That is, as an ally. As an MP it isn’t shabby either, but you’ll be wanting to ascend levels if you play as Frieza.

The bonus of making your Frieza named cards cost less is pretty nice with all the new Frieza named cards that came out. Fierce Detonation, Destructo Disk, and possibly Dual Tech and Vengeance come to mind. Sure it might not do too much, but there might be a few times that those energy attacks might need a few power stages that you’re somehow lacking.

Frieza Freestyle would also benefit from it with a plethora of interesting Frieza named cards to try out like Daunting Bombardment and Anger Blast.

Overall the extra effect is cute but you won’t be able to really abuse it in Focused with the lack of a ton of Frieza named cards with costs. Either way, the energy is still nice and you shouldn’t expect to stick around on level 1 long anyway in Black Energetic.

Expanded: 3.7 out of 5.0 (high rating because he’s a good ally with DB capture rule and big attack, otherwise decent MP)
Focused: 4.1 out of 5.0 (less named cards but key ones; good ally)
Sealed: 5.0 out of 5.0 (ally = good)
