Flame Wing Steel Beast, Denial Griffin

Call me biased, but this card is king. Denial Griffin
Counterblasts 1 when used to defend in order to retire
						the attacking rear-guard. He's the best G Guardian. I'm
sorry, but when you have a unit who only needs himself
to stave off rear-guards, unlike every other one that
may need additional help, then you know this guy's good.

What I enjoy most of all about this card is that he's a
reactive retire. Before, Kagero's best was preemptively
getting rid of problems, and that's not really useful
when they can be soft countered by powering up the few
that matter or just grabbing so much advantage back that
enemy decks don't give a shit. Now, you only need to
snipe the ones that matter, and anything really
problematic like Silent Tom can be checked with this. It
doesn't matter how strong the column is, you just drop
this, and the attack is done. Unless the attacker has
						Resist.

						Staple for every Kagero build.

						 [Flame Wing Steel Beast, Denial
						Griffin]
I love this card. I hate this card.
Until the other control decks get the amount interaction
with the opponent on their turn as potent as Griffin and
Defeat Flare, Kagero has an edge over all of them.
						Because Denial Griffin kills the
attacking unit, you don't actually have to drop the
adequate amount of guard if the rearguard column was
forcing more than 15k shield. Bananas.
If the opponent's gambit on their
turn was dependent on them having a field, like Olyvia
for example, you can use Denial Griffin in conjunction
with Dragon Knight, Sadegh to neuter it or shut it down
completely. Not everybody has Resist Grade 2's to shrug
off Denial Griffin, and people are gonna be more pressed
						to run them now.
Kill a Nova unit that was just
gonna keep restanding. Kill Pale Moon units before they
can duck back into the soul. Kill mermaids before they
can be bounced to hand. Kill 'em all!
