What's up, Rogue Squad?! So for today's Card of the
Day, we're actually not going to be looking at a boss
unit but a support card instead:
Beast Deity, Brainy Papio
Power: 9000
Grade 2
Clan: Nova Grappler
Race: Battleroid
[AUTO](VC/RC):[Counter Blast (1)-card with "Beast Deity"
in its card name] When this unit's attack hits a
vanguard, if you have a «Nova Grappler» vanguard, you
may pay the cost. If you do, choose one of your other
«Nova Grappler» rear-guards, and [Stand] it.
...at first, I really thought that this was a
mediocre card until I saw it in action...and oh my god
is this an annoying pressure card to go against when
combined with Max Beat! Let's put it this way: Papio
boosted by Max Beat hits the Vanguard? Especial
Counterblast to stand Max Beat, which then you can
Counterblast 1 to restand the same Papio that just
attacked! Yes it does overall cost 2 Counterblast to do
this trick, but the fact that you essentially get
another strike after hitting is worthy of noting as this
is how decks like this really shine.
Combine that with a 9,000 Power base and excellent
support, and Mecha Rafiki here is definitely a staple
for your Beast Deity deck.
