What's up, Rogue Squad?!  For today's Card of the Day, I'm just going to be flat out honest and just say that I am definitely goin got be bias.  Why?  Just look at what we're reviewing:

Sea Strolling Banshee
Power: 6000
Grade 1
Clan: Granblue
Race: Ghost
[AUTO]:[Soul Blast (1)] When this unit is placed on (RC) from your drop zone, if you have a «Granblue» vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, draw a card.

...such a good card for the deck!  Sea Strolling Banshee may have a subpar Power, but what it lacks in Power it DEFINITELY compensates for in speed.  Whenever the Banshee is resurrected, you get to Soul Blast a card to draw a card.  Coming from the self-proclaimed "Master of the Pirates", this is definitely something that was needed for the clan as the deck was only based off of some flashy resurrection tricks, but were based off of being just a raw power deck, but when Set 13 came out and Granblue received two cards, Nightmist (which was reviewed previously) and this card, it definitely helped give the clan the VERY much needed push to be one of the most underestimated clans in the game along with Great Nature.  Yes, there is a drawback with the Power and the fact that this card baically becomes a dead card (no pun intended) after the effect is resolved and becomes a generic vanilla unit, but that's where cards like Samurai Spirit, Deadly Spirit and Captain Nightmist (from Set 2) come in as sacrificing the Banshee t resurrect any of these cards puts her right back into the Drop Zone to be used later on in the match.

If you're playing Granblue, you're playing this card.  It's that simple.  An excellent card for the deck that helped breathe new life in this undead deck.

Sea Strolling Banshee

I don’t know why this card wasn’t picked for the last “Last squeeze regarding interesting stuff from BT13” week, but, well, allow me to correct that by reviewing it now. Sea Strolling Banshee. When called from the Drop Zone, Soulblast 1 and draw a card.

This gal was a nice addition, on top of all the other new stuff that allows Granblue to revive specific things, rather than certain stuff like Samurai Spirit. She’s an excellent partner to Lord of the Seven Seas, Nightmist in that you revive 2, draw 2, then use cards like Samurai Spirit to neatly sack them away. Bam, including the -1 from the Break Ride, you’re +3 up.

She’s not perfect, obviously; Blueblood is forced so as not to make bad columns with her if she has to be called normally, but given Granblue’s lack of better stuff it’s hardly much of a penalty.

Sea Strolling opens up a new way for Granblue to tank. A nice addition.

3.5/5
