- #BT14/019 (RR)

Date Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2014

[AUTO] Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (1)] When a «Neo Nectar» rides this unit, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose up to two of your «Neo Nectar» rear-guards, search your deck for up to one card with the same name as each of those units, call them to separate (RC), shuffle your deck, and choose your vanguard, and that unit gets [Power]+10000 until end of turn. [AUTO](VC):When this unit is boosted by a «Neo Nectar», this unit gets [Power]+2000 until end of that battle. [CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)

Yeah, okay, Nanya. Sure.

But I'm still not going to stop rolling it out, since it's incredibly easy. And you also admitted that every Late Game Crit gainer is begging for a PG to the face.

But anyway. We continue on with BT14 with Deep Green Lord, Master Wisteria. He's Neo Nectar's Break Ride, which lets you CB1 to grant 10k (normal), then pick two of your rear-guards, and summon 1 copy each from the deck.

This falls under the category of "alright, but not great". The problem is that you have to take care when using this card. Putting aside the issue that your field should be mostly full by Late Game assuming the opponent didn't go all Narukami or Kagero on you and you didn't get sacked: in order to maintain a normal board after the Break Ride you have to designate both an attacker AND a booster. Pick 2 attackers and you'll have to call at least one to the same column as another attacker, and you therefore lose pressure since Grade 2s and above can't boost. Pick 2 boosters and the same issue applies, only your column is terrible because rarely outside of archetypal attackers (Musketeers in this case) can you make a column of at least 16k.

Wisteria's not really good enough for me to care about Neo Nectar at this point in time, being just an overall +1 for CB1. Sorry. But he's at least slightly better than other Break Rides.

Looks like we're looking at some more Set 14 cards that we haven't covered yet for the week.

Which...  Shouldn't surprise anyone seeing as we only covered the five biggest cards and the reverse cards of the set a couple weeks ago.

Anyway, onto Wisteria here.

Fun fact, Wisteria's a type of climbing vine found in the Eastern United States, China, Korea and Japan.

What we have here is a Break Ride for the Neo Nectar clan. For a Counter Blast of 1, you get to choose up to two of your rear guards and look at your deck for a copy of each and call to rear guard.

And I had to double-check this guy because I thought, for a moment, he gave the rear guards +10000 instead of the Vanguard. Silly me.

Unfortunately, this unit doesn't play nice with the Musketeers, which would be awesome if he did.

For general purpose Neo Nectar, yeah, it's not too bad.

Dunno what to say about this, it's very nice, fills your field for minimal cost and gives your vanguard a lot of power, what more could you want?

Other than it to have Musketeer in the name.
