What's up, you guys?! It's about time we wrapped up our Nuns & Prophets week with a couple of prophets:

Stellar Magus
Power: 9000
Grade 2
Clan: Oracle Think Tank
Race: Human
[AUTO](VC/RC):[Counter Blast (1)] When this unit attacks a vanguard, if you have an «Oracle Think Tank» vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, declare an «Oracle Think Tank» card name, and reveal the top card of your deck. If the revealed card is the card you declared, put that card into your hand, and if it is not, choose a card from your damage zone, and turn it face up.

...I think if there ever was a definition of a, "free effect" in Vanguard, there would be a picture of this card next to it. Stellar Magus has a nice 9000 Power with an effect which activates when you attack the Vanguard (note that it doesn't have to actually hit the Vanguard but just declaring an attack on it). At the cost of a Counterblast, you can guess what the top card of the deck is. If you guess it right, then you get to add that card to your hand. If you guess it wrong, then the card stays on top and you unflip a damage. The fact that this card can forgive your faux pas is pretty nice is something to acknowledge as if you have more than one Stellar Magus on the field that it essentially guarantees you a free card at the cost of a Counterblast is nice (as the first guess would miss and unflip the damage you paid, which would have the second one know what the top card is and add it to the hand) and is actually pretty fun to just guess what might happen next. To easier assure your guesses are correct, that's why there are cards like Circle Magus, Battle Sister, Cocoa and even CEO Amaterasu to have you peek at what's coming next.

If combined with the correct synergy, Stellar Magus can really live up to her name and be a really interesting card to have in your deck should you have the room for her.

Rating: 4/5
Art: 3/5 (I love how out of all of the Magus cards, the one with a forgiving effect is a young prophet...kinda has a sense of naivety to it)
Next Time: Kinda sounds like a certain Synchro monster from Yugioh that's been banned for so long...XD

Stellar Magus

4th this week is by far the best card to come out of the Extra Booster, Stellar Magus. When she attacks, you CB1 to guess the top card of the deck. Get it right, it goes to your hand. Wrong, and your cost is refunded by being flipped face-up again.

Now THIS is what I call OTT support. Her best point is that she isn't restricted to her own Magus archetype, so you can pair her up with the original and the best; CEO Amaterasu. Now, it doesn't matter whether the top card is not a trigger or not; Stellar can just net the card for CB1, basically netting you about 5 cards a game if she's left alone. That's pretty scary coupled with CEO's increased chances of a trigger every turn.

Of course, even without her, there really is no penalty for failure if you guess wrong, so you could just use her as a stand-alone card to predict the top card, then use the new information to plan your plays out. But her best place is alongside CEO to net your mad plusses as well as smack the opponent around with your increased trigger rate.

She's one hell of a card. If nothing else, get EB07 for her.

3.5/5
