What's up, you guys?!  So I guess we're taking a break from that random Top 20 of 2011 and going to look at newer cards...awesome!!!

Infinite Corrosion Form, Death Army Cosmo Lord
Power: 10000
Grade 3
Clan: Nova Grappler
Race: Alien
[ACT](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (2)] [Stand] all of your «Nova Grappler» rear-guards. If four or more units [Stand] this way, this unit gets [Critical]+1 until end of turn. This ability cannot be used for the rest of that turn.
[ACT](VC):[Choose two of your rear-guards with "Death Army" in its card name, and [Rest] them] This unit gets [Power]+5000 until end of turn.

...so for short, Cosmo Lord is our second Limit Break that Nova Grapplers have, but unfortunately, compared to Illuminal Dragon, Cosmo Lord falls short of the mark to be the key Limit Breaker.  It's Limit Break, which is a cost of 2 Counterblast, lets you Stand all of your rear-guards, and if you stood up at least 4, then Cosmo Lord gets an extra Critical.  It sounds excellent on paper that you get an extra Critical, but that seeing how this effect along with its other can only be used in the Main Phase, then it just makes it a giant target to guard against that round.

As for its other effect, you can Rest 2 Death Army units to give Cosmo Lord +5,000 power.  This is where the Limit Break kicks in as this makes them Rest to begin with.  I wouldn't have a single gripe about this effect if wasn't specifically tied to its own Death Army legion. Also, much like the Limit Break, this can only be used in the Main Phase which turns Cosmo Lord into a guard target and something that's going to be blocked with a Perfect Guard.

With that being said, is Cosmo Lord a bad card?  No, but there are better options for Nova Grapplers, but as a deck, the Death Army deck has potential to being real powerhouses.

Rating: 2.5/5
Art: 4/5 (Definitely one of the better arts for Nova Grapplers)
Next Time: the Sister to end all Sisters?
