Today, we have possibly the oldest card of any of these Crossrides: Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu Power: 11000 Grade 3 Clan: Oracle Think Tank Race: Noble [AUTO](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):[Counter Blast (2)] When this unit's attack hits a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, search your deck for up to one «Oracle Think Tank», reveal it to your opponent, put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck. [CONT](VC):If you have a card named "CEO Amaterasu" in your soul, this unit gets [Power]+2000. [CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack) Of all the Crossrides on this list, I personally believe that this one can abuse the 13,000 status better than any if these. How? Think about it: Oracle Think Tank decks are practically known for their excellent defensive abilities that they can literally draw out. With that said, however, her Limit Break, as good as it is on paper, is just okay at best. Basically, if the opponent allows this to hit, then you get to search for any Oracle Think Tank card. With that said, 9 times out of 10, you're getting Chocolat anyway, so essentially, it's Limit Break gets you a Sentinel whenever she hits the Vanguard...and only the Vanguard... Overall, it's just okay, but compared to other Crossrides, this one is on the lower half. Rating: 3/5 Art: 3/5 (Well, it's luminous at least...) Next Time: Glory Glory Hallelujah!!! Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu Continuing our week of crossrides, today we have Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu. Like Platina Ezel yesterday, Amaterasu is 11k, gains 2k if CEO Amaterasu is in soul, and features the new Lord text. One advantage of Oracle Think Tank is that soul charging is big part of the strategy, so you could very well soul charge the CEO and save yourself some time. You also have the option of using White Hare of Inaba to put the CEO in soul, and then simply ride Goddess of the Sun directly. Amaterasu has a limit break four ability; when her attack hits the vanguard, you can counterblast two and add any Oracle Think Tank unit from your deck to your hand, then shuffle your deck. This is a very powerful ability, since there is no limitation to which unit you can grab. If you need defense, you can grab a null guard, or if you need offense, you can grab Silent Tom. All you need to do is hit the vanguard. Card for card, factoring in the drive check, you are gaining three cards, one of which is one that you can choose for the current situation. Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu is a welcome revival of the Amaterasu based OTT strategy, and her limit break adds a degree of consistency to the deck that could very well push her deck over the other focuses of the clan. Rating: 5/5 – Amaterasu is now ready to re-enter the fray in the face of Coco and Tsukuyomi.
