This card’s ability is a pretty core concept for green, but there’s a reason you don’t see it as often as some other such concepts: it turns broken very easily. Summoner’s Grimoire is probably not going to be a Legacy-defining example, as its statistics and speed recall the original Elvish Piper more than anything else. But that’s more than enough for fun decks everywhere, and it’s also worth noting that the ability follows the equipment, rather than the creature – taking out a 1/1 is just as easy as it ever was, but you might have another waiting to continue the madness. It’s also possible to turn the requirement to attack into an advantage rather than a hoop to jump through, as any creature that gives you a bonus when it attacks can take on a new dimension while carrying the Grimoire.
