Cattle die,
Friends die,
And the same with you;
But I know of something that never dies
And that’s a dead person’s deeds.

Kaldheim‘s snow sorceries are all designed similarly to this, where you get benefits based on how much of winter’s blanket you’ve committed to. Search for Glory is an interesting example of that, with a bonus that should be enough to be noteworthy against aggro and fire-flinger decks (seriously, people, play basic lands). That bonus comes on top of a lot of options for what you can find, and a lot of powerful cards within those types. I could easily see it becoming the sinew and gristle of a theme deck and even a constructed deck, if they have time to tutor.

Search for Glory is sort of in the same vein as Idyllic Tutor, a limited white tutor that has a decent amount of power to it. That said, it can fetch a decent wealth of things: snow permanents, legendary cards (like planeswalkers), or Sagas, which puts it fairly close to Dominaria‘s “historic” batching. The life gain is minor, and it’s contingent on having lots of snow lands (or mana sources) with which to cast it, but 3 life on top of a good tutor effect is actually quite nice. Search for Glory will probably see a fair amount of play in all, I would imagine; it plays well with cards from Theros Beyond Death and its own set, and consistency is any deck’s best friend. Particularly if it’s in the form of a flexible mana cost and tutor breadth.

Constructed: 4
Casual: 3.5
Limited: 2.75 (tutors are rarely good in Limited, though this might be useful if you draft a mega bomb)
Multiplayer: 3
Commander: 4 (tutors, on the other hand, are lovely in a format with massive decks)
