Hello Pojo Fans,
Lady’s Dragonmaid is a new Fusion for the Dragonmaid archetype and expands their abilities and potential.
Needing two Dragonmaid monsters with the same Attribute but different Levels can be difficult, as you are matching a maid and her dragon form. But, with the ability to Special Summon from the Extra Deck by banishing the materials from the field and grave each, it offers some flexibility for this Fusion Summon. Strong DEF but weaker ATK for a Level 8, Lady Dragonmaid can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Dragonmaid from the Deck, instantly getting you another body on the field to swap out for a bigger Dragonmaid at the start of the Battle Phase, as well as net you advantage off their Special Summon from the Deck. Of all the choices, Chamber is your archetype Spell/Trap searcher, Parlor is your Foolish Burial, Nurse Special Summons a Level 4 or lower Dragonmaid from the grave, Kitchen is your archetype RoTA, any of these would be your best choices (sorry Laundry Dragonmaid).
At the Standby Phase of either turn, Lady Dragonmaid can become a Fusion Spell, using stuff on your field or in the banished area for a Dragon Fusion Summon. While Cehrmba can Special Summon something from the banished, it’s great that Lady Dragonmaid can cycle back materials from the banished to perform a Dragon Fusion Summon, and it doesn’t have to be a Dragonmaid Fusion Summon either. While you are likely staying within archetype with this effect, stuff like Five-Headed Dragon and Khaos Starsource Dragon, Light and Darkness Dragonlord, and Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment are all candidates to be summoned using her without straying too far from the archetype.
Lady Dragonmaid is an easily summoned Fusion that can be a Fusion Spell during your Standby Phase. She utilizes the banished area after sending materials there to being Special Summoned, making sure you don’t lose out on resources. The Special Summon of a Dragonmaid that is Level 4 or lower adds more to your advantage and thins the Deck, as well as sets up another bigger Dragonmaid to appear during the Battle Phase. Despite not packing big ATK, she does everything for the archetype to push offense and reduce losing out on cards.

From the Dragon form of a Dragonmaid previously missing it to a new Dragonmaid now missing her Dragon form, we got a new Fusion with Lady’s Dragonmaid.
Lady’s is a Level 8 LIGHT Dragon Fusion with 2000 ATK and 3000 DEF. It’s at least a good wall, and being a Level 8 LIGHT Dragon gives you more synergy to run Light and Darkness Dragonlord. Materials are any 2 Dragonmaid monsters with the same Attributes and different Levels, which is easy to do with Kitchen Dragonmaid, Parlor Dragonmaid, and Chamber Dragonmaid are all 1-card starters to get you to this via different means each, which is why they’re really the only Dragonmaids you run in Dragonmaid nowadays along with a copy of their Dragon forms each. It must first be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by banishing the above Fusion Materials, 1 each from the field and graveyard, so no Fusion Spell required. If this card is Special Summoned, you can summon a Level 4 or lower Dragonmaid directly from the Deck, letting you get to one of the Dragonmaids you didn’t use to get to this to begin with and gather more card advantage. Finally, during the Standby Phase, you can Fusion Summon any Dragon Fusion from your Extra Deck by shuffling its materials from the field and/or banishment back into the Deck, which should be a free Dragonmaid Sheou once the Standby Phase hits since the materials for this should technically match Sheou’s within the archetype, but you also got the room to summon some of the good generic Dragon Fusions that exist out there. HOPT on each effect once again. Lady’s is a great Fusion for Dragonmaid, whether pure or in a variant like Dracotail. Easy summoning conditions, summons a Dragonmaid from Deck on summon, and can constantly let you Fusion Summon your Dragons like Sheou, Filia Regis, etc. One of few Extra Deck cards I can recommend at 2-3.

The actual bombshell card that came out of nowhere, the other Dragonmaid card from the Trinity Box is none other than Lady’s Dragonmaid (otherwise known as Lattice; calling it “Lady” feels a little weird, but let’s just roll with it), a level 8 LIGHT Dragon Fusion monster. It’ll take any 2 Dragonmaid monsters as long as they have the same Attribute but different levels; normally this would be rather difficult, though Lady has its own summoning condition that changes everything so you won’t need to worry about using Dragonmaid Changeover. Statwise, it has a mediocre 2000 attack backed by a decent 3000 defense, so it’s not that defenseless when you leave it on the field (and you will!).
Following up on what I said, you cannot actually Fusion Summon Lady manually. Instead, you’ll have to first summon it through its unique summoning condition, Special Summoning itself from the Extra Deck by banishing the listed materials– one from your field, and one from your Graveyard. It might not be as “free” as something like Phantom of Yubel, but it’s still extremely easy to do with the power trio of Kitchen Dragonmaid, Parlor Dragonmaid, and Chamber Dragonmaid. The first 2 will enable Lady just by dumping their respective high-level Dragon forms, while Chamber can search Dragonmaid Hospitality and go into a Link 1 Dragon before being revived and sending Dragonmaid Cehrmba to the Graveyard to go into Lady. Banishing your own Dragonmaid monsters sounds like a bad idea until we get to Lady’s last effect! Before that, let’s go over Lady’s first hard once per turn effect, triggering on Special Summon to Special Summon any level 4 or lower Dragonmaid monster from your deck. If you haven’t accessed it already, this is the prime opportunity to summon Chamber and search Dragonmaid Tidying for more layered disruption; otherwise, you can just grab any low-level Dragonmaid you think will be helpful for follow-up, most likely Parlor or Nurse Dragonmaid. In an emergency, you can use Chamber to search Dragonmaid Changeover and immediately Fuse for Dragonmaid Sheou since Lady is a high-level Dragon monster, though in most cases it’s not worth losing the potential resources from keeping Lady around. More importantly, you can Link off the Dragonmaid you just summoned with Lady for Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres and, if you still have Hospitality, you can revive Lady as if nothing happened– very important! Seal can be used to summon Dracotail Mululu and go into Dracotail combo lines, though we’ll go more into detail with that when we get there. For now, let’s finish off with Lady’s final effect, triggering during the Standby Phase (so either turn) to let you Fusion Summon any Dragon Fusion monster from your Extra Deck by shuffling the appropriate materials from among your field or banishment into the deck. It’s not quite Phantom of Yubel, but it’s still an excellent effect considering you can easily summon Sheou during your opponent’s Standby Phase, then during your own Standby Phase you can Fuse another monster as follow-up– like House Dragonmaid or Regis Filia. Not being able to use the Graveyard or hand is a bummer, especially since it hurts potential in Dracotail hybrids, but it’s honestly forgivable since the effect on its own is powerful enough; you’re recycling resources to get a Fusion monster, can’t complain too much! I’ve also found that waiting for the Standby Phase can sometimes be an issue in longer games, but I guess that’s why Lady has its Special Summon effect for more speed. It’s one of those cards you’ll feel comfortable running at 2 because you never know where Kashtira Unicorn is lurking, but once in a blue moon you might find yourself summoning multiple. Since all you need to access Lady is a single Parlor or Kitchen Dragonmaid, Dragonmaid has been seeing some hybrid play with Tenpai, Dragon Ruler, and more recently Dracotail. As much as I’d like to say pure builds are a decent rogue option. It sadly hasn’t performed as well here in the TCG as in the OCG. But I shall not falter!
+Extraordinarily powerful combo piece that enables Fusion Summons and Dragonmaid plays
+Easy to summon off of multiple 1-card combos
-Can’t Fuse using the hand or Graveyard
-Has to wait for the Standby Phase which can be problematic when you’re at a disadvantage in longer duels
