Next up we have another Link Monster, though one that would probably be more useful in Master Rule 4 than it is going to be in Master Rule 2020, and that’s Gravity Controller.

Controller is a Link-1 DARK Psychic with 1000 ATK and an arrow pointing Bottom Left. Fine ATK for a small monster, DARK is a great attribute, Psychic is best on Level 3 or lower monsters, and that arrow is nice while not allowing an Extra Link with great ease. The summoning requirement is any non-Link in the Extra Monster Zone. So this is an easy way to get a monster off the field that you just quickly wanted to help extend a combo like a King of the Feral Imps/Gallant Granite like card. You can also use Pendulums since they got to be summoned to Extra Monster Zones still and Electrumite is banned now. It’s simple to summon, that’s not going to be an issue. First off it can’t be used as Link Material the turn it is Link Summoned, mostly to prevent you from cheating your way to a Link Monster that needs Link Monsters as materials probably. This card in the Extra Monster Zone cannot be destroyed by battle with monsters in the Main Monster Zone, meaning only 1 out of your opponent’s potential 6 monsters can destroy this in battle, but you’ll still take the damage with this card’s 1000 ATK. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles an opponent’s monster in the Extra Monster Zone, you can return both that monster and this card to the Deck. This is mostly going to get rid of a pesky Link Monster that the opponent has like a Borrelsword Dragon or something along the likes of that, and it’s pretty good at that job. It’s not an overly complicated card, yet it is still pretty good with or without the new rule adjustment, though it is still better without the rule adjustment. It’s worth finding a spot for this in some Decks, it’s a fairly neat card.

Art: 4.25/5 Shocked they didn’t make this a Cyberse monster.

Gravity Controller keeps the Link train rolling.  Dark/Psychic, Link 1, with 1000 attack (which is actually rather good for a Link 1) and the lone arrow here pointing to the bottom left diagonal.  Link Summon here is performed by 1 non-Link Monster, but it must be in an Extra Monster Zone.  So, you can’t use this card as a Link Material the turn it’s Summoned.

Gravity Controller has Battle destruction immunity (so long as itself resides in the Extra Monster Zone) and the Monster it Battles with is in a Main Monster Zone.  That’s something to appreciate.  At the start of the Damage Step, you can return this card and a Monster it Battles with (again, so long as both are in the Extra Monster Zone) back to the respective owner’s Decks.

A weaker card being able to bounce bigger, more threatening things off the Field?  I think I like that, a lot, in fact.  This is going to be a helpful and useful card, and easy to tech and use in multiple Decks.  Great for Psychic players without a doubt, but easy enough to be played anywhere.  Nice Monster with a solid effect, and one without cost or penalty to the player.

Art:  5/5  Love this outfit, love the colors in the room here.  Despite the 5 though, this is one of those cards that I feel doesn’t quite live to the name.  She should be floating in this picture or something, defying gravity maybe
