Episode 47: A Turning of Tables! Goku and 18's Two-Step Attack
Viewed: Japanese VA's, English subtitles

The episode begins with Super Saiyan 4 Goku lying on the ground,
appearing defeated, facing Super 17 with a powered up Hell's Flash. Goku
ponders as to why 17 was able to counter his every move, even the
teleportation technique the Yardrat taught him. 17 sneers and tells Goku that
he has such focused senses he can even hear the wind move when Goku teleports
and that is how he detected the teleports. He then fires the Hell's Flash
right at Goku, but Goku teleports again, this time successfully getting a
hold of 17. He puts 17 in a bear hug and says 17 was an idiot for firing
Hell's Flash if he needed to hear the wind move if Goku teleported; the ki
sphere made to much noise.
Dr. Mu warily asks Goku if he is going to blow himself up, and Goku
says it will be something to that effect. 17 desperately tries to free
himself, but to no avail. Goku  gathers the energy together and a massive
explosion occurs, forming a giant crater in which we see an energy-devoid
Chibi Goku. He then asks if 17 is coming, and 17 comes out of the water,
totally unharmed. He is mad, though, that his clothes got dirty. Goku says it
looks good on him. 17 forms a Hell's Flash like the last one, but then 18
gets in the way and tells 17 that she is very upset at him for killing
Krillin and will never forgive him. 17 acts surprised that she is alive after
he attacked her, but she says he missed her vital spot intentionally in fear
of the bomb in her body. She says 17 is a coward, and Goku recalls 18 doesn't
have a bomb anymore due to Krillin's wish to remove it after the Cell games,
and ! thinks she is bluffing. Dr. Mu asks 17 just why he doesn't fire off
Hell's Flash anyway, as the bomb would do little or nothing to damage him,
considering he is the strongest being ever to have set foot on Earth. 17 says
he is not scared of the bomb but doesn't say why he won't attack, and Dr. Mu
calls him, "...a pathetic guy full of excuses." 17 gets really upset and says
he isn't pathetic or a coward; he blows up Dr. Mu with the Hell's Flash. 18
and Goku are shocked. 17 forms an even stronger Hell's Flash, and 18 fires
off bunches of small ki waves. 17 discards the Hell's Flash and absorbs the
energy, telling 18 what she is doing only makes 17 stronger, but she is bent
on revenging Krillin.
Goku, only somewhat stronger, sees that when 17 is absorbing ki, his
guard is totally down and he is completely vulnerable. He flies through 18's
ki waves and uses the Ryu Ken Explosion, seriously imparing 17. He starts up
a Kamehameha and 17 tries to absorb, but he is too weakened and doesn't have
the time. The Kamehameha vaporizes Super 17.
18 and Goku look over into the crater where 17 was killed, and 18
mourns. She asks 17 why he killed Krillin, and why had he become so evil.
Goku said that 17 was not at all to blame for Krillin's death, but it was Dr.
Gero and Dr. Mu, who brainwashed the original 17 who had somehow been still
alive on Earth and made a new, even more evil 17 who were to blame. Then Goku
says that 17 missed 18's vital spot not because of any bomb, but because he
could never truly kill his own twin sister. 18 mourns both 17 and Krillin.
It is decided, when Chi-Chi, Videl, Bulma, and Bra show up that
Shenron is to be summoned, as to restore the destroyed towns and the Earth,
which has been acting abnormally ever since Hell and Earth were connected by
the two 17's. The Dragonballs are brought together, but are cracked; however,
Shenron is summoned anyway. However, instead of Shenron, a large, dark blue
dragon appears, with an evil aura of ki Goku can sense. The episode ends.
