Episode 67 - Red Leader is Dead!

Series: Dragon Ball
Version: Japanese subbed
Reviewed by Goten6641

·        Many soldiers shoot at Goku, but he flips away, and starts running along a wall to dodge. Goku quickly trashes those soldiers. One soldier behind a table, with another soldier, fires a rocket at Goku, creating an explosion.  Both soldiers think Goku is dead, but when the smoke clears, he is unharmed.

Goku runs at the soldiers, and smashes them between the table and the wall.

The remaining soldiers in the room run off in fear.

·        Meanwhile, at the top floor, Red Leader watches this on the TV screen in anger, asking if they call themselves soldiers. Black Hosa says that the kid is powerful, and Red calls him cowardly. Red says it is Black’s fault for the soldiers acting this way, as he should have been more firm. Black apologizes.

·        Below, Goku tries jumping through the ceiling, but just hurts his head on the metal ceiling.

·        Back on the top floor, Red laughs, saying this floor is made from a special alloy. Red asks if he has any soldiers willing to take the kid on, and checks the TV screen. He sees Violet Taisa running along, and guesses that she wants to go one-on-one with Goku. As Violet watches the many scared soldiers run past, she says that Red Ribbon is finished. She heads over to a door, and Red, watching from Tower 8, says that is the wrong place. Violet tries opening the door, but it is locked. Violet uses her shotgun to shoot the door open, and steps in. Black is shocked, and he says that is their secret vault.  Red can’t believe this, and tries running off, but Black stops him. Red wants to stop Violet, but Black says that the kid is out there. Red leaps onto a railing, telling Black never to speak above his head. Back at the secret vault, Violet takes some gum out of her mouth, and sticks it to the vault.  She sticks a detonator onto the gum, and rushes out of the room. She triggers the detonator, destroying the metal vault door. She rushes into the room, seeing the many valuables. She uses a capsule to make a plane appear, and starts stealing the valuables. Violet looks over to a security camera, and says it was nice doing business. In Tower 8, Red angrily pounds the TV.  Violet flies off in her plane, with all of the valuables. Red calls Violet a traitor. Black looks out the window, and notices that all of their soldiers are escaping now. Black puts out a message throughout HQ, saying that anyone who leaves their post will be executed. Soldiers continue escaping. Red can’t believe that this is all because of a little kid. Black says they should also escape, but Red refuses to escape from a kid. Black asks if Red plans to fight Goku, and he says no, as Black will fight him. Red tells Black to protect him and get the kid’s 4 Dragon Balls. Red grabs his 2 Dragon Balls, rushes into an elevator, and rises up to a higher floor, as Black watches.  Goku breaks in through the window, asking if Black is the boss. Black says no, as Goku will have to get through him first. Goku says Black will get hurt, and Black replies that he isn’t as weak as the others. Black kicks a chair at Goku, but he leaps over it. Black punches, but Goku dodges. Black kicks, but Goku dodges. Goku lands on a table, which Black kicks away. Black punches a cup at Goku, which he blocks. In a room with many TV monitors, Red calls Black a worthless fool, for not even hitting Goku yet. Red starts flipping some switches. Black punches, but Goku dodges. Goku asks Black if that is all he has, having thought he would be stronger. Goku says it is now his turn, and lunges at Black, punching him in the stomach. Back in the room with TV monitors, Red pulls a switch, telling Goku to die. Black is sent hurtling out the window by the punch. The ceiling comes down, crushing everything in the room, including Goku. Red steps out of the elevator, happy that he has finally got rid of Goku. Black hangs from the edge of the tower, vowing to kill Red for trying to get rid of him, as well. Red laughs, saying that after retrieving the kid’s Dragon Balls, he will only need 1 more, then he will finally be able to achieve his dream: to become taller. Black asks if that is why so many countless lives were wasted to get the Dragon Balls. Red turns around, surprised to see Black. Red asks what is wrong with his wish, and Black asks if they were going to rule the world. Red says that will eventually happen, but first he needs to look like a ruler. He sadly says that girls wouldn’t like a short ruler, and everyone has always teased him for being short. Red asks what is wrong with that, and Black responds that Red almost killed him. Red replies that Black almost died because he is worthless. Black can’t take anymore, and he shoots Red in the head, with his gun. Red drops to the ground, dead. Black says that Red didn’t deserve to be the leader, and he will take his place and rule the world. Suddenly, the floor (former ceiling) breaks, and Goku leaps out, saying that was a dirty trick. Black is shocked that Goku is still alive. Goku refuses to hold back this time. Black says he is the new leader, and wants to make a compromise.  He holds out the 2 Dragon Balls, and Goku asks if he plans to give his life in exchange for the Dragon Balls. Black says no, and offers to team up with Goku so they can rule the world together. They will have cash, slaves, and beautiful women. Goku refuses, saying he has to wish back Bora. Black says they can wish back Bora, and then rule the world. Goku still refuses, not wanting to be on the same side as the bad guys. Black shoots at Goku several times, but he dodges it all. Goku kicks Black in the stomach, causing much pain. Black tosses out a capsule, forming a Robot Suit, which he leaps into.  Using the robot suit, Black punches Goku into the wall. Black says that even Goku is no match for this robot suit, and prepares to fire a blast from the robot’s hand.

·        Meanwhile, in their plane, Bulma, Yamcha, KameSennin, Oolong, Puar, Lunch (evil form), Kuririn, and Umigame fly along. Yamcha says they will arrive soon, and Kuririn hopes that Goku isn’t dead yet. Bulma says that Goku won’t die so easily, but Oolong says Red Ribbon has many dangerous weapons.  KameSennin agrees, because no matter how strong Goku is, he is no match for modern weapons. Bulma asks how they can defeat an opponent that Goku can’t.  Kuririn says they still have Yamcha and KameSennin with them, but Yamcha says that Red Ribbon has technology on their side. Everyone argues, until Yamcha notices something approaching them on radar. It is Violet Taisa, flying along in her plane. Violet also notices them, and becomes nervous, not wanting to lose her money or her life. Bulma says they have no weapons, so they can’t fight back. Lunch says that all they need is her gun. KameSennin tells Lunch to calm down, as they need to safely arrive at the HQ without starting a fight. Bulma agrees, saying the plane might have missiles. Yamcha decides to fly low. Violet guesses that they must be the kid’s friends, so she should hide. Both people in the planes notice that they are both flying low, and become scared. They both decide to hide in the clouds, and do so. Both people in the planes are once again scared, as they are both flying high. The process repeats again. Soon, Yamcha and the others cheer, thinking they have lost the enemy. They are all shocked to realize that Violet is headed right toward them. They both collide, but regain control and keep flying.  KameSennin says that was close, and Bulma says they should hurry.

Back at Red Ribbon HQ, Black fires many blasts from the robot, which Goku dodges. Black grabs Goku, who tells him to let go. Black hurls Goku out of the building, and decides to put him out of his misery. Black breaks out of the building, and floats over Goku, who lays weakened against another building. Black aims his robot’s hand at Goku, ready to blast again.  To be continued in Dragon Ball Episode 68...
