Episode 102 - Kuririn's Death. The Frightening Hatred

Series: Dragon Ball
Version: Japanese subbed
Dragon Ball Episode 102
"Kuririn's Death. The Frightening Hatred."
-KameSennin, Yamcha, Bulma, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, Lunch (evil form), Puar, and
Oolong rush into the Tenkaichi Budokai room, finding Goku checking on the
dead Kuririn. Yamcha asks what happened, and Goku says Kuririn is dead. They
are all in shock. On the ground, the weakened announcer explains that a
monster came in, killed Kuririn, and stole a strange ball and the tournament
registry. They are all saddened by Kuririn's death. Goku is angered, and
grabs Nyoibo. He grabs the Dragon Radar from Bulma, and rushes off.
KameSennin yells for Goku to stop, but fails. As Goku runs he remembers his
times with Kuririn (when they first met, their training together, and their
recent fight in the Tenkaichi Budokai).

Goku leaps down a ledge, and checks the Dragon Radar. He rushes off in the right direction. Umigame is exhausted, and reaches the tournament room, asking what happened. KameSennin calls Goku a fool, as he won't be able to defeat a monster that easily killed Kuririn while he is tired from the tournament. Tenshinhan picks up Kuririn, and feels sorry for him. Chaozu wonders who could have done this. Oolong finds a sheet

of paper on the ground, and hands it to Bulma. Bulma reads the symbol on the
paper, which means "demon." KameSennin is shocked, and he grabs the paper. He
says this means it is the work of Piccolo Daimioh. The others are confused,
while Lunch says that is a stupid name. Tenshinhan recognizes the name, and
says Piccolo Daimioh was the demon who brought terror to the Earth.
KameSennin agrees, and has a flashback. Many demon minions of Piccolo were
destroying a city. One demon attacked a girl, but a man hit him on the head
with a streetlight from behind, to no effect. The demon grabbed the man by
the head. Many soldiers shot at another demon, to no effect. The demon flew
at the soldiers, causing an explosion. Many tanks shot at the demons, so the
demon fired Mouth Blasts, destroying them. The demons continued their
destruction. They soon attacked KameSennin's martial arts school, killing
many monks. The young KameSennin and TsuruSennin fought back against the
demons.

They eventually destroyed the demons with blasts. Piccolo Daimioh

himself landed, and Finger Blasted them into a building. As the flashback
ends, KameSennin says they were no match for Piccolo, even with
Mutaito-sama's help. Bulma asks who that is, and KameSennin says it was his
martial arts teacher. The flashback starts again, with Mutaito-sama facing
Piccolo Daimioh. Mutaito asked why Piccolo keeps attacking, and Piccolo
replied that he wanted to show the world his great power. Piccolo fired a
Finger Blast, hitting Mutaito. Mutaito lunged at Piccolo, but got hit by a
large barrage of Finger Blasts, as KameSennin and TsuruSennin watched in
concern. Mutaito was blasted away. Later, he recovered in bed, making
KameSennin and TsuruSennin happy. Mutaito, with his wounds not fully healed,
walked away, vowing to return some day. The flashback ends.

-Meanwhile, Goku rushes along, and refuses to forgive the monster.

-Back at the Tenkaichi Budokai, Tenshinhan says that TsuruSennin never told
him the whole story. KameSennin says TsuruSennin wouldn't want to, because
that is when he started becoming evil. The flashback continues. Piccolo
Daimioh continued his destruction throughout the Earth. KameSennin went into
the mountains, and trained alone. Several years later, Mutaito finally
returned, and KameSennin was very happy. Mutaito had spent years mastering a
new technique. Later, Mutaito once again confronted Piccolo, as KameSennin
watched. Piccolo fired a Finger Blast, but it was deflected, as Mutaito
started charging up his new technique. Mutaito sent a strange wind at
Piccolo, which blew him into the Denshi Jar, and KameSennin closed it. The
technique was called Mafuba. Mutaito died, as result of using the attack.
KameSennin later sank the Denshi Jar to the bottom of the ocean. As the
flashback ends, KameSennin says there is no way Piccolo could have escaped
the Denshi Jar. Chaozu says TsuruSennin could have opened it, but KameSennin
disagrees, saying that even TsuruSennin feared Piccolo's power. Oolong says
Goku is in big trouble, if he plans to take on that monster. KameSennin hopes
Goku won't die.

-Meanwhile, as Goku continues rushing along, he almost falls off a cliff. He
remembers something, and calls in Kintoun. He flies off on Kintoun, following
the signal on the Dragon Radar.

-Back at the Tenkaichi Budokai, Puar can't believe that such a terrible demon
has come back to life. Tenshinhan hopes that Goku won't find the monster, but
Lunch says he will with the Dragon Radar. KameSennin wonders what Piccolo
plans to do with the Dragon Balls and tournament registry. Tenshinhan asks
what they are talking about, not understanding the Dragon Balls and Dragon
Radar.

-Meanwhile, in a plane, Piccolo Daimioh, who is now very old, sits in his
throne, with his minion Piano at his side. Pilaf, Shuu, and Mai stand before
Piccolo nervously. Piccolo asks if he will get his wish granted if he gets
all 7 Dragon Balls, and Pilaf says yes. Pilaf asks if Piccolo plans to rule
the world, and Piccolo just laughs, saying he doesn't need Dragon Balls to do
that. Piccolo says he plans to wish for eternal youth. Pilaf and his minions
are surprised. Pilaf says that he has done a lot for Piccolo, including:
letting him out of the Denshi Jar, getting him this airborne base, and
telling him about the Dragon Balls. Piccolo asks what his point is, and Pilaf
asks if he can rule half of the world. Piccolo is silent, and Pilaf nervously
says that he even told him about the Tenkaichi Budokai. Piccolo is still
silent, so Pilaf asks if he can have one third of the world. Piccolo still
doesn't answer, so Pilaf asks for one fourth. Piccolo says he will think
about it, and Pilaf thanks him. He asks if Tamborine has come back yet, and
Mai checks the globe radar. Pilaf says that Tamborine is heading this way
with the Dragon Ball. Pilaf asks why Piccolo needed the tournament registry,
and Piccolo is silent. Piccolo thinks to himself that a martial artist was
able to seal him away. He fires an Eye Beam, destroying the Denshi Jar, which
scares Pilaf and his minions. Piccolo says he wants all martial artists dead.
-Back at the Tenkaichi Budokai, KameSennin realizes something. He says that
Piccolo must be afraid that another martial artist would be strong enough to
use the Mafuba, so he has taken the tournament registry to find and kill all
of the strong martial artists.

-Meanwhile, Goku keeps flying along on Kintoun. He sees Tamborine flying in
the distance, holding the Dragon Ball and registry. Goku flies at Tamborine
in a rage.

Next time: Goku fights Tamborine, but can how can he win against a monster
that was able to kill Kuririn in one blow. After the Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku
is pretty worn out (he didn't even get to eat!) Good luck, Son Goku!
