 Dragonball Z: Bojack Unbound
Review - 2.24.05 - By SuperSaiyanTrunks

I’m doing another movie review today, this time on Bojack Unbound. This movie was better then I gave it credit for. But there was one little detail in it that I didn’t really like, but I’ll get to that later. First off, lets get a little overview about it:

A famous millionaire, X.S. Cash, is throwing a “Tournament of Champions” for his son. Hercule, the famous fighter, does something in this movie to help save Gohan, but I’ll also get to that later on. So the Tournament goes on, and the guys in it are Trunks (future), Gohan, (Teen), Krillin, Yamcha, Piccolo, and Tien. How was Bojack unleashed? Well, the 4 Kais first beat him and sealed him up in a Star, and if you remember, Goku destroyed North or King Kais planet when he tried to beet Cell. After that, the Star exploded and Bojack was unleashed.

So, the Four Finalists, Gohan, Trunks, Krillin and “Doskoi” (Don’t ask), all went in these tubes to fight their “extra terrestrial aliens”. It was really a race, who ever beat their opponent first, would race back and win the whole Tournament. But, Bojacks henchmen have replaced the real aliens. So they all fight EXTREMLY powerful enemies. Yamcha and Tien find out about it, and they rush into action. (Hercule’s still tries to get out of it). So, they all fight and do really bad. Yamcha, Tien, Krillin and Trunks are all knocked out. Bojack and his henchmen have their sites set on Gohan. Then, who should pop up but Vegeta? (Haha, I didn’t forget him in the tournament ;-)) He try’s to fight Bojack, (he also brought Trunks sword), but he also does badly. So Gohan has to try to fight ALL of them. They use their “energy strings” to drain his power away.

Then, Hurcule comes out and almost hits one of he henchmen and breaks the strings. (That’s what he did to save Gohan). Gohan is falling, and Goku, from The Other World, says: “I have to put a stop to this!” (He then teleports down to save Gohan.) He says this, (and I quote again): “Gohan, you have the power to finish them off for good. Believe in your self. Let it all go. And beat them!” So Gohan unlocks all his powers and goes to Super Saiyan 2 and destroys all of them. That’s pretty much the story. Now on to some reviews.

On the back of the box, it usually says some stuff about the movie. Here’s what it says:

“The infamous millionaire X.S. Cash is funding the most amazing martial arts tournament the Universe has ever seen! The four tournament finalists must do battle with warriors representing the four corners of the galaxy in an ultimate battle to see who gains the right to challenge The Champ for the ultimate championship!

But a ragged band of criminals has a scheme of their own: take over the tournament and conquer the Universe in the process! Their leader is the incredibly powerful Bojack, an evil menace who has broken free of his stellar confines!

With Goku incapable of helping eradicate the planet’s latest threat and Earth’s greatest heroes falling on by one, the young Gohan must look deep within himself to find the power to destroy the wicked invaders. Can Gohan summon enough strength to deliver the finishing blow?”

This is a really great movie. It’s about 20 bucks, but worth it. It got good review from FUNimation, and is also good for Cartoonnetwork since they show DBZ. Even if you seen this movie, its one of those movies you have to see again. So it’s really worth it. Next to Borly, the Legendary Super Saiyan, this is one of my favorite movies. That’s what I got for this movie.

If you want to know more about this movie, or you have any DBZ question about the shows, games or movies, just email me at DBZreviewer@yahoo.com.
