Goku the Saiyan Level 2 – Cell Saga
Starter - #162
Personality

Power: Lower your opponent's anger 1 level. Draw the bottom card from your discard pile.

This is generally the all purpose Goku level 2 that you’d use in generally any deck but Saiyan anger. Card advantage, mini anti-anger, decent power level… what more could you ask for?

Drawing the bottom discard is just like the level 1 Puppet power but it happens no matter what. Sure it isn’t an attack, but it is guaranteed. That can help immensely in many decks, seeing card advantage helps in generally all decks. You’ll have GBS in freestyle be your bottom discard a lot, and you can have another use with it easily. If not, you can easily draw up some other good card with all of Goku’s other card drawing abilities.

Try out this Goku in a multitude of archtypes. Black Goku can lay the beatdown with another card. Freestyle Goku draws up GBS or some other beatdown weapon. Red Goku gets some anger card. Saiyan card advantage is always good. And so forth. Being able to know what you are getting is great, so you can prepare for it in other combats.

The key is this level is so multi-purpose you have a ton of uses for it. Try it out and trust me, this Goku level 2 won’t fail you.

Standard: 4.0 out of 5.0 (card advantage = good)
Tuff Enuff: 4.1 out of 5.0 (ditto)
Sealed: 4.3 out of 5.0 (pulling Goku in sealed is not a bad thing) ~matthewlow

Goku the Saiyan-

Literally, a coin flip separates Goku the Saiyan from Goku, Super Saiyan. Goku the Saiyan provides card advantage and a tiny tiny bit of anti-anger. Goku, Super Saiyan on the other hand provides a quick boost to Goku Level 3 HT, the best Goku Level 3 by far. Which one will you use? Well if you’re using a 1-3 deck, then obviously the Goku that provides a quick level hopping power will be used. Goku the Saiyan is still good, but Goku’s Buu Saga counterpart is quickly becoming the most widely used level 2.

Standard – 2.5/5
TE – 3/5
Mewfive Goku, the Saiyan Level 2
Nice. Who doesn't like drawing an extra card? The card you draw may be a card that you need to put your opponent away, or it may just help in a bad situation for one purpose or another. The lower your opponent's anger 1 level part of this doesn't matter much because there aren't too many anger decks out there, and there is better anger control.
Standard - 3/5.
TE- 3/5.
