Whoa, a card with a cool name, haven't seen that for a while >_< Its a good card, it can do 3 life cards and removes a drill or ally (yay, gets past the new Free Style Mastery). Or, if they dont have any drills or allies, you can just decide to have it to 6 life cards of damage, yay! (If you use empower you can council out the additional affects of the card, and add X life cards, where X is empower) Standard: 2.0 Tuff ENuff: 3.0

Red Vigor Orb – Buu Saga

Energy Combat

Energy attack doing 3 life cards of damage. Empower 3. Remove one of your opponent's Allies or Drills in play from the game. Lower your opponent's anger 2 levels.

Not a bad card. Red Energy Blast from Trunks Saga all over again.

What this card breaks down to be is either an energy for 6 life or energy for 3, nuke a Drill or Ally, while also lowering anger 2. This can be debated with Red Energy Blast over placement in a deck, mainly depending on the anger. I can see this being a staple in Red WGS decks, if that ever gets played.

Red Energy Blast does 4 life and raises anger 1, which is amazing in Red Anger decks. I put that card in every Red deck because of its tech ability. This new one will find homes in decks that don’t raise their anger and/or need the anti-anger. You can argue over which card is better and have a valid argument for either. It all depends on the deck.

The key is the empower which can prove helpful if there is nothing to remove. That helps a tiny bit for Red WGS decks, and to do a tiny bit more damage, but personally that won’t matter in Red anger.

Generally you should look at your Red deck this way:

Anger: Use Red Energy Blast

Like your Level 1: Use Red Vigor Orb

Red Energy (WGS): Use both

That’s how I’d look at it.

Also, one of the minor differences is the fact this is a common while Red Energy Blast is an uncommon. Hence, you’d probably want to go with Red Energy Blast because of Red Escape and the pure power of that card. But, of course, Red Escape won’t find a home in a deck that stays on its level 1, so you can stick with Vigor Orb.

This card is not a bad card, and would be played a lot if Red Energy Blast weren’t invented. Unfortunately for this card it is, so it takes a hit because of that and will only be used in some decks.

Standard: 2.7 out of 5.0 (still a good tech card, just all depends on the deck it is going in)

Tuff Enuff: 3.1 out of 5.0 (piddly one anger won’t matter, Empower helps in this format)

Sealed: 3.5 out of 5.0 (lower anger, tech, can be energy for 6, easy to pull, hey, not bad)

Three cards of damage... Not much at all. But this card should not and will not be used for just its damage. The secondary effect of removing a Drill or Ally is okay, but I believe we have a better card that does this in Red Energy Blast. Lower your opponent's anger 2... Bah, few decks run anger, and for those that do, you can shut them down much easier with other cards. Seeing as I have no clue as to what Empower does, I cannot say anything on that. I play Red Energy and do not see myself using this card in any capacity in the deck, unless Empower does what I have heard it could do (Adds life cards to the attack).
