Taking Cover - Fusion Saga

Hmmm its kinda dumb but its kinda good too. If you use the Buu Saga blue mastery it can be helpful. Not like you would really need to. All this card does is when you prevent damage you prevent double. So you use endurance 4 after you used this in the combat you prevent 8 instead. Thats about it though

Rating 2.0

Ehh..mediocre card..

This card is..OK..it'd be better if it weren't a combat card, it can be
easily sphered, and Piccolo's FIst Block can keep it from working.. The only reason I would use it for anything is to double endurance, but that takes up valuable deck space you could use for keycards in your deck (Staples, powerful styled cards etc.,) But, if you need some usueful fillers (Like if your deck isn't 85 cards yet and you want to have 85 cards in it, and you don't have anymore to put in..) go ahead and put this in. It could be useful in DragonBall decks, I guess. Doubling Endurance means less damage from attacks, which means it's harder to capture Dragon Balls. But a good number of Dragon Ball decks these days don't declare Tokui-Wazas. So Endurance is unusable.

I can see this card used in only one kind of deck. Blue MBS Mastery decks, no other decktype relies on prevention anywhere near as much as this one. Yay, we can prevent two cards of damage for each Blue card already. Let's use this card and prevent four cards of damage with each Blue we remove! Fun stuff.

If this card affects Endurance, it may see a little use in some Namekian Regen decks, we all know Namekian has incredible Endurance.

Rating:
Standard - 1.8/5. Good, but only one or two decks can use it. TE - 1.8/5.
Andrew Dill Taking Cover, #23 from Fusion Saga:

Power: For the remainder of Combat, when you prevent damage from an attack you may prevent twice as much damage from the attack.

This card goes great in a deck that uses the Buu Saga Blue Style Mastery. So instead of preventing 2 life for each card you remove, you get to prevent 4 life! This card also helps decks that use a lot of endurance, maybe a deck that uses Gohan, Energized from Babidi Saga. Also, you could combo this card with any deck that uses Alt. Earth Dragon Ball 3 to basically give all of your styled cards endurance 2.

This card is great for decks that rely on preventing damage, but otherwise is pretty worthless.

Ratings:

Regular - 3

Tuff Enuff - 3.5 (In TE almost all decks are beatdown so this card becomes much more effective)

Sealed Deck - 2.8

Combat

Power: For the remainder of Combat, when you prevent damage from an attack you may prevent twice as much damage from the attack.

I see one major use for the card, and that’s Blue MBS. Prevent 4 life per Blue card removed. Major stall of course. You can use this card with decks with major endurance as well, like decks that give your life deck endurance like Gohan 1 Babidi Saga, Krillin 1 CCPP2, and Majin Buu’s New House. It can help you a bit, but you’d have to use it as an attack, and those attacks will be taken instead of stopped. Interesting card; I don’t see it getting a lot of play, but you never know. Blue MBS might be running this card to stop a breakthrough combat. Then again, Hero’s Heart is Strong destroys that.

Standard: 1.9 out of 5.0 (well, you don’t always need to prevent damage here)
Tuff Enuff: 2.3 out of 5.0 (might let you survive longer, that’s it)
Sealed: 2.0 out of 5.0 (depends how much endurance you pull)
