The great demand for this card puzzles me greatly.  For the most part, it's nothing more than a Smokescreen.  If Goku's Mixing Drill is in play, it can be an energy attack, but just how many decks will use that drill, anyway?  Most good decks out there, barring Cosmic Backlash, are tokui-waza, giving that drill no use and removing any chance of the energy attack.  It looks cool, yes, but that's where the important goodness stops.  If I wanted a dual block, I'll just use Smokescreen or Mother's Touch.  If I want an attack/block card, I'd even go with King Kai, since his condition for the attack/block is much more likely to be done than this card.  To me, this is just a standard dual-block with a slight improvement.

S&TE: 2.25

Rich B. Thursday: Goku's Super Saiyan Blast:

This card is.....ok. Sure, its an omni block, but it has its weaknesses.

Orange Energy Discharge and focused attacks can get through it. Most people won't have Goku's Mixing Drill in play to utilize the option of making an energy attack. 4 of these in a goku deck might be decent. Not many focused attacks are being used in normal tournament environment to pose serious threat to this card....except orange decks ;).

In Tuff Enuff, focused attacks are thriving. This card won't be much help against carefully teched beatdown decks.

Standard: 2.5/5
Tuff Enuff: 1.5/5

Standard

This card isn't nearly as good as it used to be, with the introduction of Focused attacks and all. I still consider it a MUST in most decks, along with Smokescreen, and Prepared Dodge. But as I've said, it's not nearly as useful as it used to be. Of course it can also be an energy attack, but Goku's Mixing Drill has to be in play, and now most people don't use multi-style deecks anymore, so not many people would include a Goku's Mixing Drill in their deck. So again, with the introduction of Masteries (in TS) the use of this card has plummeted lower and lower In standard it gets a rating of 3.2

Tuff Enuff

The card is a little bit worse due to the fact that Tokui-Waza is even more prominent in the Tuff Enuff environment, so the energy attack part of the card will be useless, but the defense the card provides is amazing, but again, it cannot prevent Focused attacks..but it can still prevent cards like Rebellion, Blue Windup Blast, etc.,

TE rating: 3.0
