Hello Pojo Fans,

Double Headed Anger Knuckle may require Machine-Type monsters, but it is more for Trains than any other Machine-Type archetype.

Two Machine monsters isn’t hard to come by, so the requirements are fine. Can’t be used as Link material is a downer no matter where in the game. 1-for-1 for a Level 10 Machine monster is not balanced, it favors you, even if the monsters effects are negated. This effect helps recover a detached material from a Rank 10, or sets up another Link or Xyz Summon. There are 36 Level 10 Machine monsters and seven can be in your Main Deck. Most of the time this card is going to be used in Trains, but with that ability to Special Summon a Synchro, or Fusion that is Level 10 does give other Machine decks some reason to play this. The arrows aren’t the best, but it will always give you an extra zone to use for your Extra Deck. Another 1-for-1 while Knuckle is in the grave to bring it back is an effect hardly any Link Monsters have. You can’t link this away just to ditch and Special Summon it back, but the recover ability this card gives you is balanced and great. Cyber Dragons could use this card, but with their packed Extra Deck they may not have a slot open, also, the use of Knuckle would be to get back their Fusion monsters, and they already have their own Link Monster, as well as Qliphort Genius.

This is a weird looking train. Double Headed Anger Knuckle is a Link 2 Earth Machine-type Link Monster with 1500 Atk and with Right and Straight Down Arrows. The stats are pretty good. Earth and Machine are appropriate for Trains. Even 1500 Atk is ok. The requirements are any 2 Machine monsters, but DHAK cannot be used as Link Material, so the requirements are a little redundant because this was never going to be used outside of Train decks. There are 2 effects that are mutually exclusive and very hard once per turns. While on the field, DHAK can ditch a monster from your hand to Special Summon a targeted Level 10 Machine from your grave. This is cool because it’s a Quick Effect during the Main Phase to really get those big Rank 10s going. The other option is for when DHAK is in the grave. You can Special Summon DHAK from the grave at the cost of any card being discarded from your hand. If you have the resources in your hand, then this is a great option for Trains. However, their Extra Deck is kinda tight, and if DHAK is negated, then you have no real field presence. Run 2 at most to extend some combos.

Next up is a Link that helps with the Rank 10 Train strategy, Double Headed Anger Knuckle.

DHAK is a Link-2 EARTH Machine with 1500 ATK and arrows pointing to the Right and Down. EARTH Machine is great, ATK is a little on the low side for a Link-2, but the arrows synergize well for the effect it has. The summoning requirements are any 2 Machines, which is a piece of cake in many different decks. This cannot be used as Link Material, which is something I’m sure a lot of previous Link Monsters needed, but it’s still better late than never for Konami to put this restriction on monsters as needed. You also got two effects you can choose from to use once per turn and they are to either during your Main Phase as a Quick Effect send a monster from your hand or field to the graveyard to Special Summon a Level 10 Machine in your graveyard in Defense Position with its effects negated or you can send a card from your hand or field to the graveyard if this is in the graveyard to revive it. The first effect helps summon a Rank 10 Xyz in the deck with ease while also helping get a graveyard effect from something like Ruffian Railcar, and I’ll always appreciate an easy Rank 10 Xyz, and the other effect is good revival so you can keep making Xyz plays in the Main Monster Zone and probably why this cannot be used as Link Material. The card excels in Rank 10 Train decks, so it’s probably best to have a few copies of this in the Extra Deck if you’re messing around with Rank 10 Trains.

And now for a Link you can use and abuse in a high level XYZ Train Deck (which has a bigger pool than ever) is Double Headed Anger Knuckle.  Link 2 again, this time an Earth/Machine, which also fits the high level train agenda, 1500 attack (still rather good for Link 2) requiring two Machines for a Link Summon, whose arrows point directly below, and to the immediate right.

Itself, cannot be used as Link Material.  We never like to see that.  Two effects here, one of which you can use per turn, and the chosen effect can only be used once per turn.  So we’re super specific restricted here, but you need to be, or you’re OTK potential increases here by a factor of 10.

*Effect 1 is a Quick effect, letting you dump a Machine from your Hand, or sacrifice from the Field, to Special Summon a Level 10 Machine from your Graveyard.  That’s a Targeting effect, and said Monster is Special Summoned in Defense position, with effect(s) negated.  There’s your set-up right there.  And why you can’t use the effect more than once per turn.  But it’s fair and balanced, and I like that.

*Effect 2 is a revival effect, letting you dump a card from your Hand, or one from the Field to Special Summon itself from the Graveyard.  It strikes me as odd it doesn’t have to be a Machine for this effect (but it’s good) and it can be a Magic/Trap card, not just a Monster, which is even better.  Both effects here are rather good, but had to be limited in use to prevent train domination.

Art:  3.5/5  I like the sky and surrounding more than the train.  Also, it doesn’t have two heads, and doesn’t strike me as particularly angry.  It’s smiling, and the smile doesn’t look really menacing.  I think Armed might have been better than Angry
