#2 - Pokémon Emergency

Ash is walking into Viridian City holding Pikachu. Both look beat up (and they are). They slowly trudge on.

Meanwhile, Officer Jenny is yelling something into her megaphone about robbers in Viridian City. She says for all trainers to be wary.

Suddenly,

Ash and Pikachu walk into view. Officer Jenny is for some reason suspicious and tells Ash that she thinks that he looks, well, like a robber (but she says it in a more ambiguous way). Ash says that he needs a pokemon hospital (why not a pokemon center?) and Officer Jenny says she needs to see i.d. Ash doesn’t think that he has any. Suddenly, Officer Jenny spots his pokedex. She opens it up and says something about being Dexter, being programed by Professor Oak, and being owned by Ash. She apologizes, and drives him to the pokemon center.

Ash tells Nurse Joy that Pikachu needs help (and it does). She tells him that he shouldn’t have battled it into that kind of condition. He sort of says sorry. Ash sits in the waiting room and decides to call his mom. She yells in joy and they talk about missing each other. Then Professor Oak calls and he tells him about everyone being ahead of him. He says that he bet Gary (his snobby grandson) that Ash would have caught atleast 1 pokemon before reaching Viridian. Ash sheepishly says he didn’t, but he says that he saw Houou (that golden bird which flew over the rainbow in Pokemon: I choose you). Professor Oak doesn’t believe him, and logs off. All of a sudden, Misty comes in and yells about her bike. Ash is sort of intimidated, but then Misty suddenly becomes sympathetic and asks if Pikachu’s okay. Nurse Joy bumps in and says that it’s resting. Suddenly, Team Rocket, in their Meowth balloon, bombs the roof of the Pokemon Center. They say their motto and tell Nurse Joy that they want pokemon. Ash (being stupid) tells them that they’re not geting Pikachu, which is a big duh, because who wants a Pikachu? So James sends out Koffing, and it uses smokescreen (or something like that), which knocks out all the lights. Nurse Joy isn’t worried, and she tells these Pikachus to run on a spinning wheel. Somehow, the produce electricity, and the lights are on. Yet, the pokemon are still in danger, so Nurse Joy, Ash and Misty run into the room with the pokeballs (which means pokemon). Nurse Joy starts transferring them to Pewter City. Suddenly, Team Rocket blasts into the room. Jessie has out her Ekans, and it seems like they’re ready to steal the pokemon. Ash decides to use the Pokemon Center’s pokemon to battle. He sends out a couple pokeballs, but all the pokemon become scared by Ekans.  (I think they were Pidgey, Rattata, and then an empty pokeball) Misty feels apprehensive and tells Ash to take Pikachu and stay away from all the trouble. Ash says okay (but he doesn’t move) and Misty tries a pokeball. It turns out to be a Goldeen. (Wow!) Misty is now really worried. Ash suddenly runs away with Pikachu whispers something to him. Ash doesn’t get it at first, but he soon realizes that it means “pika power” (which basically means electric power). Ash gets on to something that looks like an execise bike and puts a helmet onto Pikachu. This bike-thing is attached to all these other Pikachus. Ash starts to pedal, and the other Pikachus release their energy, and Pikachu shocks Team Rocket a couple times. Finally, the Pokemon Center releases a beam of light from the top into the night sky, and it detonates!!! Team Rocket is blasted off, for the first time! Everyone is fine, and Pikachu feels much more love for Ash than ever before. (How sweet) Ash, Misty, and Pikachu walk off into Viridian Forest, saying bye to Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny.

There are many good things in this episode, but one major problem is that it all takes place in the Pokemon Center, and, well...it’s sort of...boring.

Also, almost everything is centered around Ash, and that’s also boring. But, at least it’s persistant to the theme, which is supposed to be all about Ash.  Too bad for Ash haters, but it’s true. A problem with the episodes starting with about the number 30 is that Ash isn’t really the main., main focus.  (Well, in some episodes he is.) But anyway, another good thing about this episode is that is has many very cute Pikachu scenes. )This is more of a good thing, because many people adore Pikachu. No surprise, because it’s pretty cute.) One of the cutest Pikachu scenes is when all these Pikachu from the Pokemon Center jump over a wall. Also, it’s cute when it’s on the hospital cart. It’s hurt, but still cute. A funny scene is when Team Rocket is being shocked madly. They look hilarious. Another bit of humor is when Professor Oak tells Ash that he bet Gary that Ash would have caught a pokemon before he reached Viridian City. Ash sheepishly replies, “Well, money isn’t everything.” (Or something very similar in wording) Professor Oak looks depressed. My favorite scene, though, is when the Pokemon Center explodes.  It’s really cool. Mostly, the episode’s good parts are in the part where Team Rocket raids the Pokemon Center. I rate it 8 out of 10.

Here is a summary on:Pokemon Emergency

After Ash encountered Misty, (and jacked her bike) He quickly made his
way to Viridian City. On the way in, he met the first of the officer
Jenny sisters. "Excuse me young man, were do you think your going with
that pokemon?" Ash, with the severely beaten pikachu in his arms
replies: "I'm in a hurry, I need to make it to the pokemon center."
Officer Jenny asks: "How can you prove that pokemon is yours, let's see
some I.d." "well ah,"replies Ash. Officer Jenny said: "woa what's that"
as she reaches for the pokedex in his pocket. Ash says "oh um, that's
just my pokedex." Dexter, the pokedex says: "this is Ash Ketchum of
Pallet, I was programed by prof. Oak for Ash." "I didd'nt realize my
pokedex was also my I.D." said Ash. Jenny replies: well, your obviously
not a theif, would you like a lift to the pokemon center?" What do you
think he said? after all the beloved pikachu's life was in his hand.

They reached the pokemon Center, Driving right through the front door
and parking at the front desk. (quite litterally.) Nurse Joy says "we
do have a drive way you know." "Well sorry about that" replies Jenny.
"but this is a sick pokemon, please do what you can" "Right but next
time use the driveway." Joy says to Jenny as she leaves. "Now let's
take care of this pikachu, you iresponsible young man." "what?" says
Ash " You should'nt let a pokemon battle until it's in this condition."
"But you don't know what happened." "No but's, you'll have to stay in
the waiting room while we take care of this Pikachu."

A few hours pass and during that time he contacted his mom. They talked
about how they missed each other and if Ash was changing his underwear.
Then the phone rang, it was professor Oak. "Why Ash I heard you reached
the pokemon center in Veridian City is that true." asked Prof. Oak.
"Well if you called me here and I picked up, then I'd have to be here
would'nt I" said Ash. "Oh right" said prof. Oak "anyway I bet that you
had caught at least ten different pokemon and I knew you had, you have,
hav'nt you?" Ash reluctantly replied: "well ah, not quite but I did see
that pokemon." He said as he pointed to a picture oh Houhou, the 4th
mystical bird. " Prof. Oak said "you could'nt possibly have seen that,
People have searched for it for years and never found it. Anyway my
anchovie pizza is here I gotta go."

Nurse Joy came out, "well,Pikachu should be okay, he just needs to
rest." As she brought him out on rollers. That is were Misty found him.
"YOU OWE ME A NEW BIKE!" Ash said: "well you see, I don't exactly have
any money, and........." "Oh, are you all right."s= Said Misty. "Yea,
I'm fine." Said Ash. "NOT YOU, THE PIKACHU!" Asked Misty. "Pikachu is
gonna be okay." Said Nurse Joy. Then Misty said: "Well we'll talk about
my bike later, you keep an eye on Pikachu."

Then there was a large blimp in the shape of a Meowth that flew over
the city. "Attention citizens of Veridian City. A group of Pokemon
poachers have entered the city stay in your homes." The large blimp
made it's way over the glass roof of the pokemon center.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Prepare for troule.....................
Team Rocket has entered the building. "Okay everone hand over the
pokemon" says jessie. "Your not getting Pikachu!" said Ash with
determination. Then James said with great confidence: "We have no
interest in your little electric rat, we only seek rare and valeuble
pokemon." "Then your wasting your time" said Nurse Joy. "This is a
center for weak and injured pokemon." Jessie said: "Well I would'nt be
surprised if we found a few jems in all the junk." Ash, Nurse Joy, and
Misty ran into a seperate room and locked the door. Nurse Joy turned on
the p.c. and contacted the pewter city pokemon center. "hello" said
Nurse Joy to the other nurse Joy. "This is the viridian city pokemon
center, requesting to transfer pokemon." The pokemon were successfuly
being transfered to pewter city, that's when team rocket busted down
the door. "okay hand them over." said Jessie.

Then misty said: "you'll have to battle me first." She wispered to Ash:
"get your pikachu out of here." Misty sent out her Goldeen. "Ha a
goldeen?" said Ash. "yes just get pikachu out of here." said misty.
After distracting Team Rocket with a little argument and "warming up"
with her goldeen, she gave Ash a little head start. Then Team Rocket
said "He's getting away, after him Koffing, Ekans. Pikachu being on
rollers still hooked to his equipment, said "pika pa." "Pika what?"
said ash. "Pika pow" replied Pikachu. "Oh you want pika power." Ash
turned Mistys beaten bike upside down and hooked it to the wires
pikachu was attached to. This gave Pikachu extra energy. As ash petaled
Pikachu realeased electricity. This gave team rocket quite a "shock".
That's when meowth came in. "fine leave it all to the cat." Ash said
"We're gonna generate a little excitement for you Meowth." Pikachu
destroyed what was left of the building and Meowth. Now that team
Rocket say Pikachu's Power, there new objective was to snag pikachu.

Ash waved good bye to his friends in Veridian city, and made his way
into the forest, were he found a caterpie.....................

Sorry I didd'nt have time for editing but I tried my best. Anyway that
is the second episode.
