The archetype decided to go beyond the Link-2 and now we got a Link-3 to end the week with Aromalilith Rosemary.

Rosemary is a Link-3 DARK Plant with 2200 ATK and all three arrows pointing down in some direction. Great arrows, solid ATK, and once again we got a DARK Plant. Materials are any 2+ Plants, so generic for the type. Upon being Special Summoned, you can search for any Aroma card, which gets you to the monsters that make your plays or to Aroma Blend to get access to the Traps and the Fusion. Being able to search with the Link-3 is great after you gain LP with Jasmine on the field to also get a search for any Plant. If you gain LP, except in the damage step, you can also summon up to 3 Aroma monsters from your hand to zones this card points to, which should be strong extension into more Plant Links, Synchros, Xyzs, etc. Finally, you can tribute a monster this card points to in order to target a card on the field and banish it to also gain 1000 LP. Removal and LP gaining for Aroma is great. I do wish in this case it was a Quick Effect, especially since you are tributing a monster to trigger this, but at least the removal is there. Hard once per turn on each effect. Rosemary is a solid Link-3 to the Aroma archetype. It’s more searching, it helps swarm the field, and it can remove other threats on the board while providing you more LP. Unlike Jasmine, you play this Link only with other Aroma stuff, but it’s solid if you opt for the Aroma cards in your Plant Deck, and of course it’s staple for Aroma itself.

Art: 4.5/5 I assume Rosemary is the one who’ll get all the new forms?

Wrapping up the week is yet another form of Aromage Rosemary that, oddly enough, is less of a boss than Aromalilith Magnolia; Aromalilith Rosemary is a Link 3 DARK Plant Link monster, with down-left, down, and down-right arrows perfect for its effect. As it takes any two or more Plants, you can easily weave it into Plant decks, and pretty much instantly go into it from Aromaseraphy Jasmine in many combo lines. Rosemary gets a slight attack boost from its Synchro form, having a decent 2200 attack for a Link 3 monster.

Rosemary has three hard once per turn effects, the first triggering if it’s Special Summoned to search any Aroma card. This is how you’ll access Aroma Blend, which will accordingly let you place Blessed Winds and get a search (plus cheap healing); I like to search Aromaseraphy Angelica if I don’t have it yet as a way to manually gain Life Points, but as always, search whatever you need for your combo! Rosemary’s second effect triggers if you gain Life Points, letting you Special Summon up to three Aroma monsters from your hand to zones that Rosemary points to. You’re practically guaranteed to have at least one monster in hand to summon because of Blessed Winds. While it’s tempting to just vomit your entire hand for even bigger endboards, I find that it’s generally overkill; usually I just summon Aromalilith Rosalina that I searched earlier in the combo. Angelica is a crazy extender, but I prefer to keep at least one in my hand (again, for a manual way to Quick trigger my disruptions). Lasty, Rosemary lets you tribute a monster it points to then target and banish any card on the field, gaining 1000 Life Points as a bonus. In a pinch, this can trigger Rosemary’s second effect, but in Rikka hybrids, this effect is excellent for triggering your Rikka cards, like Primula the Rikka Fairy. It’s a bit unfortunate that you can’t tribute an opponent’s card, but it would feel a bit weird to encroach on Rikka’s gimmick. Overall, while not necessarily a boss, Rosemary is still an excellent combo piece and can easily be linked off into Benghalancer the Resurgent if you are so inclined.

+Accesses Aroma Blend for strong endboards
+Special Summon effect can provide lots of bodies
-Tribute effect is slightly underwhelming

Advanced: 4.25/5
Art: 4/5 At this rate Rosemary is going to have more forms than Winda.
