Episode 55 - The Beast Within 

The episode starts out with the ref saying that it is the final match. All the monsters in the audience cheers for the Toguro Team, and the ref states that everyone is cheering for the Toguro Team. Keiko jumps up and yells there are people (Her, Botan, Kuwubara's Sis, Yukina and Jorge) cheering for the Urameshi Team. The match is about to begin, but Kuwubara asks Kurama if he has drank the potion that Suzuki gave him that would transform him into Yoko form. Kurama says yes, but it has a 15-minute limit. Kurama also says that it is enough to kill Karasu. Botan gets a bit depressed because Genkai has died. Kuwubara's sis goes and cheers her up. The match begins with Kurama VS Karasu. Karasu asks Kurama if he is going to face him in his human form and Kurama says he has changed. Kurama summons a lot of rose petals around him. Kurama wants to stall time so he can change to Yoko form. The petals swirl around Kurama and Kurama says they are as sharp as blades. Karasu just walks forward and gets cut, but he says it’s very beautiful, but very weak. Karasu blows them up without touching them. Yusuke gets worried. Karasu says that Kurama cannot see what happened because he cannot see his Youki attack. He states that there is a difference of Youki between Kurama and himself. Kurama jumps up into the air and summons his Rose Whip but Karasu blows it up. Karasu begins assaulting Kurama with his claws. Kasaru jumps up into the air and claws down. Kurama dodges it but he gets damaged by something that exploded. Kurama runs but again he gets damaged by the invisible explosive once again. Kasaru gives him a hint that he can produce something just like how he can produce plants. He states that he has the weapon in his hand right now. He shows him what he can control and a bomb appears. He throws it at Kurama and it explodes. No one can see what happened because there’s smoke all over. Karasa dodges the explosion and a rose appears stuck in his hand, but he pulls it right off. The smoke starts becoming blue. Large amounts of youki is emitting from the core of the mist. Yoko Kurama appears. Yoko Kurama says he wants to kill him. Karusa produces a more bombs that look like flying apples. Yoko Kurama just throws roses at them and they exploded.

Karasu makes more except they look more like bats this time and they are homing. Yoko Kurama dodges every one of them (with style). They all surround Yoko. Yoko says they cannot hurt him and he summons a big plant with teeth and destroys them all.

The plants name is Minosa, the demon plant. The Minosa Plants fixed Karasu as their target. The plants start spraying some kind of red gas out. Karasu throws a bomb at one of them and it does not harm it.

This episode begins with Juri announcing the teams and who will be fighting in the first fight. Then Kuwabara asks if Kurama drank the potion Suzuka gave him and responds he took it 2 minutes ago. Then Keiko asks why Botan is so quiet as she leaves still mourning the death of Genkai. Then after chatting for a bit they return. then the match of Karasu vs. Kurama begins. Then Karasu and Kurama talk a bit and there is a flashback of the previous round when Karasu touched the people and they died. It returns to the present as Karasu powers up and Kurama blows a lot of rose petals around. Then Kurama starts thinking about how to defeat Karasu and realizes it can only be done by turning into Yoko and to keep his distance. Then Kurama uses some fronteir attack as Karasu walks right into it and gets slashed by a rose petals. He figures it is like a sharp knife and the cut heals as he continues through it. Then Kurama directs the petals to straight at Karasu. Then he does a stance and points to the petals as they explode. Then Karasu tells Kurama of his power and asks him if he wants to fight in that form. After, he jumps and disappears and tries to touch Kurama. After chasing him for a while Kurama takes out the rose whip and Karasu explodes it as well. Then the chasing continues and Karasu almost gets Kurama in the arm but his arm still explodes and blood goes flying out. He explains he can still transfer his energy without touching his opponent and explodes his leg. Then they talk for a while and Karasu makes a bomb and throws it at Kurama which results in a huge explosion. Then as Karasu lands he notices a rose is in his hand and pulls it out. As the smoke is still there Kurama transforms into Yoko. The smoke clears and Kurama is Yoko. Some talking goes around. Karasu creates two strange looking bombs and sends them at Yoko. Yoko takes two roses and throws them at the bombs which explode. Then Karasu creates bat-like bombs and sends them at Yoko. Yoko dodges them for a while. Then he becomes surrounded by the bat bombs and uses his spirit energy to destroy the bombs and after the smoke clears there are many plants surrounding Yoko. Yoko explains they are called Mimosa plants and they see out moving targets. Then the Mimosa start to attack Karasu who dodges them for a while. Then he creates a grenade and throws it at one of the Mimosa plants which goes up in flames. The other come out at Karasu and the episode ends there.
