Well
without other reviewers here at the Shaman King
section of Pojo, it seems I get a bit careless.
I originally was thinking of doing "Lee Pai-long"
today. But on Wednesday I checked the card list
and saw that I already reviewed that card! So,
in a short change of plans I am reviewing
"Talisman Warrior." This means we have no more
Jun themed cards at all! We got reviews for them
all! It's a proud landmark.
"Talisman Warrior" has no trait restriction so
it can be placed into any deck without breaking
a rule. This strike has a 2 green card cost,
which is very cheap. If you replenish a green
this turn then the cost only feels like 1 green
furyoku. A 4 intercept is a bit low but is very
playable in all formats. The force stands with a
golden 5. The perfect number to hit. This card
would seem to be a staple for every deck if it
didn't have the effect.
"Whenever your opponent focuses, -1 force" is
the negative effect stated on "Talisman
Warrior." The effect takes place during your
opponent's upcoming turn. This effect gives your
opponent the option of focusing cards that
he/she might flip for a more beneficial effect.
Your opponent will gain furyoku and lower your
force from focusing any card in his/her deck.
You never want to help out your opponent. By the
time your opponent gets to the red zone he/she
can easily counterattack against "Talisman
Warrior" and gains lots of furyoku. On the flip
side you will gain some furyoku as well from
replenishing. I just don't like cards that help
your opponent, unless you play them against me.
So it helps both sides of the match. I am not
too much of a fan of the card, so I'll give it a
medium review.
