Ability: After looking at treasure on a wild island, you may trade any one treasure from that island for a random treasure on any other wild island. This ship must load the traded treasure.

This ship puzzles me. Her ability is meant for gold running, but Mercenaries don't run gold. Her speed is too low for gold, too. Add a Helmsman and you're down to 2 cargo free for treasures, which is pretty poor, even if you can reject a coin you don't like.

As a fighter, the Hare's Luck is a better fit, with two good cannons for a low price. She still needs the Helmsman; add a Captain and you've got a nice secondary fighter. But the point cost of her ability, whatever that cost may be, is wasted if she fights.

So what should you do with this ship? Fight her. If a lull in the action gives you time to grab a treasure, do it, and use her ability if you can. But 2-rank cannons shouldn't be wasted on a gold ship, especially one that can't take its own gold home. I give this ship slightly above-average marks for being a slightly above-average gunship.

Sumpbeast Hare’s Luck

If a rabbit’s foot were lucky wouldn’t the rabbit still have it? The Hare’s Luck is little fighter with strange combination of ability and guns. The Hare’s Luck is not a fast ship but does have an ability to deny some good gold to your opponent. She also has a pair of 2L cannons for a nice little punch. Perhaps you can use the Hare’s Luck to stop by an island and swap some treasure on the way to a fight (I don’t like to go into a fight with gold in the holds). With two masts she won’t last long in a duel and so can be considered only a support ship at best. Her speed is a detriment. The cargo hold is about average for her size especially considering that you need a helmsman to keep up with your main gunship (which needs to be at least S+S). This confused but cute little ship gets a 2/5 for her lack of a defined role.
